cerazette – pill

No one has said anything about whether i need to stop taking this pill before/after getting breast implants. Anyone on it and was told it was ok to continue? x

Staying on it increases the risk of blood clots, speak to your nurse.

I was on Cerazette and my surgeon and nurses knew and they didn’t tell me to stop before the op so I carried on as normal. I think generally the pill can increase the chances of getting blood clots especially if you’re going to be immobile for long periods but with a BA you should be able to walk and move about ok. I would ask your nurse to be on the safe side just in case you’ve got other things they need to take into consideration or they have a different opinion to mine. x

That’s wat pill I’m on and I wasn’t told to stop taking it, just told that GA cancels the pill out for upto a month afterwards x

I’m on cerazette but I was told to stop taking 2 weeks before op. also while your on the antibiotics after op the pill won’t work anyway. Nurse told me it was best to start taking again about 2 weeks after op. x

Has anyone had any problems on this pill can I just ask? I’ve just started it two months ago and since starting it after my BA I’ve had a lot of infections such as yeast infections and urine infections? Anybody else had this? I’ve not recovered very well from my op my immune system has hit a low and I am still very run down but wasn’t sure if the pill could potentially be causing any of the above? Xx

I was told of my surgeon I didn’t need to stop taking it and off my nurse I had to I’m not stopping as taking my surgeons advice, plus I’ve got my op tomorrow and as of today im on my 7 day break so hopefully it will be fine, I don’t want any more babies anytime soon lol x
