Check ups

After the op. How long before u go back for checks and how many do you have? Long in-between? Just figuring time off etc

I had my op on 21st of June. 11days later I had check up with the nurse back at the clinic. I’ve got a 6 wk check again with the nurse n she said we’ll make an appointment for 12 wks (at 6 wk app) to c the surgeon. Xx

I had an appointment with the nurse at 1 week post-op, and then i have an appointment with my surgeon at 6 weeks.. xx

I want to see my surgeon as ofton as possible .lol x

So it’s diff for everyone really then? If u fit bandages too I Spose u have to go back quicker

1 week check – nurse

6 week check – nurse or if u have mr traynor him…

12 week check – surgeon (mr traynor usually discharges at 6wk check tho)

6 months check – surgeon/nurse

1 yr check – surgeon/nurse

Dont forget mya have an open door policy…

I had 5 checks in my first 3 wks, the nurses at newcastle were fab! I had reaction to my stitches! Xx
