I took my steri strips off yesterday morning but the nurse didn’t tell me what to do once they were off. Am I supposed to clean them?! If so what do I use to clean them with? And am I supposed to Be covering them in the shower? And last question, do I just leave the dried blood that is on the scars?! Ha sorry for all the questions, any advice would be really helpful!! Xxx p.s I’ve put new pics up xx

Hun I took mine off the other day and I was worried 2 I have some dried bloody but I’m leaving it (rung nurse she said can be the scab drying) so I am not touching them in shower or anything dry naturally as where at the time of risking infection x just make sure u wash with a body wash with all natural stuff sanax do great 1 100% pure x

If you have scabs don’t worry, scabs forming are the bodies natural way of protecting the wound from infection, they will drop of in the shower when they are ready don’t disturb them, they will come off when they are ready, and you will be healed underneath.Just let the water run over them, water will clean them without products,if you use products rinse well, then pat dry gently with a clean towel,or blow dry with the hair dryer on a cool setting, xxx

have to say I didn´t get mine wet for 6 weeks…I used boots antisceptic wipes and a cool hairdryer…I haven´t used any creams or products on mine at all and at 6 months mine look fab…and I am a slow healer and because of a blood issue I scar and bruise very easily….:)

my nurse said just wash all over in baby showergel but dont actually rub the scars jus let the soapy water run down them, rinse well and dry with hairdryer. after a few days of doing that i started using a bodywash that kills 99.99% of bacteria on them patting the foam on them gently then rinsing well and mine have healed so well!! x
