Closed rhino with the wonderful wonderful Dr G – 7th May!!!

Hello my lovelies!!!

So I went to Highgate on Monday for closed rhinoplasty with Dr Gonschior and was first in line for surgery this day!!! was so happy to hear he was operating on a bank holiday monday as I have zero days holiday left at work so was very happy that i was able to book a slot for him on this day!!!

I got there 15 minutes early for my 7.30 admission time and asked to confirm my details in reception and fill out some more contact information for them, I was collected from reception and taken to my room – 316 It was lovely in here, I had my own bathroom, tv with digital channels and free wifi which kept my boyfriend entertained for the day

He very kindly ordered a big english breakfast to my room as he was “hungry” very inconsiderate if you ask me as I last ate and drank at 10.30 pm the previous evening and was starving marving!!! haha

I had a lovely nurse looking after me this day called Imrani I think and she made me feel so at ease, she too had her nose done by Dr G and couldnt of praised his work more from her personal and working experience!!! she made me do a pregnancy test but I had stupidly squeezed my last pee out when i arrived at MYA not knowing i would need to do a test, she left the room and 10 minutes later I managed to pee YAY was so scared i didnt have anything left in me!!! She weighed me and took my height ect…

Dr Gonschior came into my room to check i was ok and ready for surgery!!! then a nurse called matilda asked me to follow her down to the operating room, all ready in my gown, stockings and paper knickers i followed, once on the operating table the anistethic man told me that i would feel my arms and head get heavy and then would taste something strange at the back of my throat then after that i remember nothing, I woke up and was very dazed, managed to hop over from the operating table onto my recovery room bed and from here got some bad shakes, the nurse told me this was common after waking from anistethic It went after about 10 minutes and i just layed there staring into space for a little while!!!

The nurse then came in and checked up on me!!! I odered some hagen daaz ice cream for lunch with an icy cold juice which was amazing for my sorely throat, I had a slight throbbing pain in my nose which went after a while!!! I felt fine by the time dinner was with us, I had Big bang theory on the tele and was resting nicely in my comfy bed, I was thankful for the toilet in my room because I needed the toilet lots after my surgery I kept checking in the mirror at my bruising and it started coming out quite early and my eyes were black by the time i left at 7.15 pm to go home!!! I left the hospital a very happy girl!!! couldnt believe how brave i had been and was so pleased with how it all went. Dr G and the anistephic man came in to see me before I left and he said it went perfectly and I couldn’t have thanked them both enough for their work!!!

When I got home I was being very well looked after by my boyfriend and his mum, I was very doopy for the 1st 2 days so it was very good to have them here with me!!! that night i got home sleeping was abit uncomfortable for me, sleeping upright was all very new to me and i kept getting paranoid that i was slipping down in the night so i woke up quite a few times and couldnt sleep in either!!! the next day my swelling and bruising was pretty bad but no pain day 3 was my worst as expected and I could now breath through my nose yay and i could smell which was nice, by night time it was always more comfortable to breath through my mouth which made it very sore and dry when waking up of a morning!!! The recovery process has been as expected for me and i must say the worst of it for me has been the sore throat, it stings to drink, eat and swallow but goes away now and again!!! Im now on day 5 and Im feeling much better, I can breath through my nose, the bruising is now yellow and the swelling is slightly on my cheeks as aposed to my eyes

I can already see that Dr G has removed the bump on my nose and that alone excited me im really excited to meet my new nose and hoping i fall in love next friday when my cast is removed!!! good luck to all that are having surgery soon!!! It really is worth it already xxxxxxxxxxx

Oh yeah I completly forgot! I too was shaking when I come round from aneshtesia I was shaking and my teeth were chattering lol she put loadsa blankets and a heater thing on me then it wore off after about 20 mins, ah nice story hehe xx

I was chattering like made when i tried to stop the shaking in my legs, didnt realise i would be like that but it went within about 10 minutes thank god!!! Thanks guys im 7 days po today and i dont have any swelling now and the bruising is being covered up by make up nicely only thing i am suffering with is an awfully painful throat, starting to eat normal again now but its still hurting at the back of my throat hope it gets better soon!!! back to work tomorrow wish me luck haha

Went out for the 1st time yesterday and was shocked at how little people stared at me, i was expecting alot of looks and muttering under their breaths but i didnt catch anyone or today when i went to asdas which was nice I cant recommend Dr G enough he really is amazing guys feel free to add me ….if we’re not already friends on here xxxxxxxxx

It depends if you have open or closed procedure, etc. It will be between £3.5k and £5k. When you go for the consultation they will give you a rough idea. Once you meet the surgeon he/she will tell you for sure.

Hey amyca!! It did go so well thank you and i would recommend Dr G as he is one of the best!!! Mine was a closed day case and with a late space discount i got it down to 3600!! I was quoted alot more with other companies so was very happy that i could get it down to this price!!!! xxxx
