cold sore and op in 2 days

Help!! I am having my op on Tuesday and its already been delayed once. Today I started with a cold sore. I get them often but haven’t had one for about 6 months. It isn’t big compared to others I have had and I started zovirax cream immediately and I am not run down or feeling ill in any other way. Does anyone have experience of this and know whether my op is likely to be delayed again?

I’m covered in cold sores at the moment chick & meet my surgeon on Thursday! I’ve also been hammering the cream. I offen get them & quit bad but I don’t have surgery till 8th march so hopefully they will of cleared up x

I used to get them really bad all the time and not had one for ages sods law i get one and been really careful. Luckily its not the biggest ive had but thank god it doesn’t affect the procedure date.

Tip for you crush an ibuprofen with a tiny bit of water and make a paste apply it to the cold sore overnight and it takes down the swelling and helps the pain but also dries it out quicker.
