Up until now I have not had a single bad word to say about mya however my 6 week check up today at 2.30, asked is he running to time .. Yes he is… Come 3.50 I was still sitting in reception. Evry single person that came in after me was seen before me, maybe coz they have already got my money and the people seen are about to give them the money?! I now have to make up the time and work through my lunch hour tomorrow and do an hour journey in half hour otherwise I’ll get a parking ticket. Sooo annoyed. Rant over! x

hhhmmm the first appointment I had with my Surgeon was cancelled, the second was just over an hour behind and 2 weeks ago I had a 3 week check as had some probs and sat in the waiting room for 2 hours and 20mins, absolutely dreading my 6 week appointment. I’m also still waiting for my friend referral cheque that I was told was bring processed 2 weeks ago :-( Xx

I am sure MYA will be taking all this feedback on board, feedback is important positive and negative, hopefully it will be used to improve the service,we are all aware it only need one person to be late at the beginning of the day,or a surgeon to run over in consultation due to individual circumstances for it to have a knock on effect to the whole day,and when this happens sadly some patients feel a little stressed to say the least, hope you did’nt get a ticket marie21,pleased to hear all is well with your recovery.xxx

omg how annoying! this happened to me to at my 6wk check, took me 3 hours of train journeys to get there, waited 2 n a half hours past my appointment time to see him, every other girl had been and gone! then i was in my “check” literally no longer than 3 minutes!!! he squeezed em together, i asked is it ok to sunbathe, swim, go gym, and he said “do what you want”.. x

Yeh at the holborn clinic. I didn’t mind waiting I expected to wait people over run etc. But to be sitting there on time and people walk in after you and get seen first about 8 people I just found frustrating. Thankfully no parking ticket even though I was an hour late back to the car haha x

same happened to me at holborn….they said your appointment is at this time but you might be waiting up until 2 hours….i was like what omg…they said theres a few girls with the same appointment time as u…this was at holborn….wimpole street is more punctual when seeing my pc or nurse… waited another time at holborn 1 hour…and another woman was there making a fuss also on how long she was waiting ….

mya mod probably something mya needs to sort….to avoid a bad rep i suppose as i see alot of girls commenting often on this….

still love mya but organisation and returning calls is always a nightmare…my pc and surgeon is lovely though…x

I was very lucky I had no waiting time at all, when I attended in December, but it appears from all the comments things have changed,I am sure MYA will be doing all they can to improve this.I have an idea that may help improve the appointment system for the patients, just an idea it may or may not work.

If the surgeons appointment is booked when they book the follow up nurses appointment, these slots would then be given to the post op members,so there should be no reason to over book,as the slots will be clearly marked as taken, the nurses appointments are booked automatically as the patient needs to be seen as part of the post operative process,so why don’t the PCs put the 6 weeks surgeon review in to the system too,I know the reviews could fall on surgeons time off,but if they are booked as close to the 6 week mark as possible it would solve a lot of problems,in term of,if you have a problem it will be picked up at the surgeon review,if you dont have a problem you can be signed of and get on with your life,I do realise to put something like this in place would take time,as appointments are already booked in advance, but it may be worth thinking about for the future to improve the service.xxx

I think that’s a good idea. Yeh all seeing my surgeon he kept coming and and I kept going to stand up and o no its the girl that came in 20 minutes after mes turn!! I’m not too bothered now as evrything was fine and had no ticket and worked through my lunch and late last night to apologise to work. Never mind just feel its something that needs to be looked at coz if I had had that sort of wait on my 1st consultation I would not of been impressed as a first impression of MYA x
