Compression Stockings

How long did you girls get told to wear the compression Stockings? The nurse at preston first trust told me 5 days, the nurse with mya said upto a week if possible. And have read lots of different stories online. I had my surgery a week ago tomoz, is it safe to remove them for good now? Theyre driving me nuts haha xxx

My surgeon and nurse said until I was back to normal mobility. I took mine off 3dpo xx

I was told 2 weeks but took mine off on day 4 x

I took mine off when I left the hospital. Wasn’t told to keep them on lol. But I’d listen to your surgeon if I were you and keep on as long as recommended. X

I was told a week but mine were off on day 3, couldn’t stand the things xx

This is the first I’ve heard of them haha … is this something they give you when your discharged? Xx

@sophiex26x you get given them as soon as you arrive on surgery day 🙂 x

Yip sophie you get them on before the op, its so blood cant pool in the veins of the legs while under anaesthetic and after, causing blood clots. youve to wear them for a while after the op. My legs are finally free haha they are awful!

I wore mine for a week! That’s all I was told but drove me mad was so hard to match them with anything, awful shade of green ahah
