Hey guys, I’m really new to this but I’ve been thinking about getting my boobs enlarged for a looong time and I’m finally doing something about it! Any tips about what to expect or medication (I heard arnica is good!) to help me would be so helpful. Also how long is recovery and how long do I have to sleep upright for? Literally any advice would be amazing!! Thanks girls 🙂

@hephzi for me arnica worked like a dream! I took it 7 days before and 7 days after my op 2 tablets 4x a day, literally I took it religiously lol. I barely bruised at all.

Recovery depends on the person and if you have just a normal BA or added lift etc. They advise you to take a week of work minimum, in terms of recovery mine has been great, I thought it would be a lot worse! Days 2 & 3 after the op were the worst. I’m now 8DPO and have no pain, just the odd twinge here and there.

Sleeping upright depends on which surgeon you have. I think in general it’s minimum 1 week upright, my surgeon says 2 weeks upright and then 4 weeks on your back, then I have a 6 week check up which I will be told if I can sleep on my side yet or not.

Have you booked in for a free consultation or just researching? Best of luck either way 🙂 xx

Thank you so much!! I will be booking a consultation next week… I was going to do it months ago but wussed out haha I think I need to write down a list of questions to ask them. How long was it between your first consultation and actually having the surgery? Xx

Hi, I didn’t take any medication before my surgery and haven’t had any visable bruising.
Sleeping up right, I had to do until I went for my 1wpo and the nurse then told me a could sleep how ever I felt comfortable.
My recovery has been great, no pain as such just pressure for the first 3-4 days. I’m now getting pins and needles in my nipples which is just my nerves repairing and doesn’t bother me to much.
I could shower after my 1 week post op and also drive if I felt comfortable doing so.
My first consultation was on 4th may and I had my surgery 25th august. But I didn’t have my surgery with mya so don’t know about their waiting list etc.
Just a bit of advice, research your surgeon.. read reviews on alll different sites not just this one. Research the company again reading reviews on all different sites.
I researched my surgeon that much I feel like I know him more than his wife lol.
Also find pictures of your overall goal and take them with you.
Be prepared, do you want unders, partials or overs? What size do you want to achieve? What sort of implant do you want? Do you need/want an uplift? Do you want HP or UHP etc all things you need to be thinking about.
Hope your journey is an enjoyable one. And good luck with your decision xx

Honestly the pain is bareable! That is what put me off for years and then after the surgery I was wondering what I was so worried about haha!

My first consultation was 15th June, I met my surgeon on 28th June, pre op was 14th July and my surgery was 25th August. So 10 weeks and 1 day in total :). I wanted it as quick as possible as I knew it was what I wanted, I just didn’t want to chicken out or talk myself out of it lol.

Cath makes a good point, when you meet your surgeon have pictures of your “boob goal” to show him/her that really helps to explain what you’re after. And definitely go with a list of questions to your first consultation.

Everyone on this forum is great, so any advice you need you’ll generally find someone here who can try and help you xx
