Consultations!

Hey girls, maybe this is a stupid question but how many consultations do you need to have before the day of the surgery? Only reason why I ask is because I’ll be flying over each time. Also at the first consultation is that where you meet the surgeon? Will be phoning next week to arrange! Soo excited!! xxx oh also can you fly home the next day after surgery? Thanks xx

Your not supposed to fly for 6 weeks after surgery i was told! x

u carnt fly for 6 weeks after surgery and u have ur 1st consultation with a pc then the 2nd one with the surgen and then if you book u need to have a pre check up with the nurse to make sure your healthy for surgery but this is usually one to two weeks before yur booked surgery date hope tht helps xxxx

Hi rebecca. If you tell your PC you want to see the surgeon and have your pre op at your initial consultation you can save yourself alot of time…this is how i did it. My friend from italy also did it this way. She flew over for her op stayed a week, saw the nurse and flew back. She then has to fly back for her 6 week check which she’ll also see her surgeon again. If your not flying long haul and inform your surgeon you’ll be fine. You cant fly home the day after though hun xx
