Contraceptive pill

Hi,

Just realised it says in the paperwork to stop taking your contraceptive pill.. I wasn’t told this before. Is this right?

It depends which one your on babe! I was told i could continue taking mine, im on cerezette.. I think your supposed to stop if your on the combined but if your unsure contact your PC 🙂 xx

I stopped taking mine and started once I started period a month or so later. My friends surgeon said to her to just keep taking it as it’s easier to get rid of a blood clot then an unwanted baby…..so errr….yea lol xx

Hmmm looks like weve been told different things lol. i think ill ask my pc. I’m taking microgynon 30.. I don’t want to stop taking it if I don’t have to.. Means ill have my period when I’m having my boobs done too 🙁 x

I was on my period too! Its fine just make sure you wear a pad and not a tampon lol xx

I got told to stop taking it 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. Better to be safe than sorry x

Just thinking ill feel a dirty mess not being able to bath/shower and be on..arghhh! Think I’ll just stop now to be in safe side and check on Monday. But I wouldn’t have stopped for 2 weeks so don’t know if that will matter..? X

I was told to stop 4 weeks before. I’m not really using it for contraception atm anyway so didn’t matter much to me. Depends on the surgeon I think.

Does anyone know whether the depo injection is ok to still be on.

They advised me to take my Implant out x

My depos due in 2 weeks so think I will have to leave that appointment as want to book my op ASAP 🙂

I was told I gotta stop mine hun.. 2 weeks before op 2 weeks after. Can cause blood clots after surgery or something xx
