cosmetic surgery abroad

has anyone been abroad for their surgery ? im plannin havin a minor tt towards the end of the yr or early next yr had loads of consultations and can’t get any lower than 3900 in this country where as if i go abroad i can get it for 1000 less including hotel and flights the whole idea at first was out of the question but i have found a clinic with british registered surgeons brilliant reviews and on their web site the aftercare insurance and everythin else sounds perfect just a bit of a scary step to take so any comments would help good or bad x

I haven’t had surgey abroad , but i was a nurse (paramedic now) and i use to see a patient who had BA abroad – bulgaria, so i can let you know what she told me.

She said that the found it daunting being in a foreign country on her own not being able to speak the language.In regards to the surgery she felt the whole process was rushed. She was ill immediately after the surgery and they still discharged her on her own to a hotel with drains in place. Once at the hotel she still felt ill and in the end she felt the only way to get help was to fly home. She flew home the same day with the drains in place, she ended up having her aftercare done at the local gp surgery, which is where i came in.

I asked her in she would go aborad again for surgery and she said she was unsure.
This is only one persons experience, there are probably thousands of people who went abroad without any problems.
The results ofher BA seemed to be fine, no infection,healing well,scars quite tidy.

Thanks for your comment sharon . still very undecided the place i hate been thinkin of has a shared patient apartment looks lovely and i would be with other traveling patients so not so daunting don’t think i could cope in a strange country in a hotel alone scary thought . i had my breast done in this country so know what to expect and feeling a bit low after surgery . still a little anxious about traveling alone so may drag someone with me if that’s what i decide to do
