Cough!!!

Strange title i know lol. Anyways im having my op on 6th April and have my pre op on 22nd March and ive just got a stinking cold and cough, i know my op is still 3 weeks away but i tend to stay ill for AGES if i have a cough will they give me my boobies??xx

if your body is dealing with infection at the time of surgery there is more chance of your body rejecting the implant as it’s on defense mode and the implant is a foreign body. try and take 1000mg of vitamin C (can get it from boots for a fiver) that should help boost your immune system but if your still ill do tell your nurse as it’s not worth the risk. get well soon hunn! x

awww nooo i worry about this as well, i have my pre op on the 22nd as well and my op is on the 13th april, im so scared that i will get ill just before, tryn get as much rest as u can hun and like khanni sed take lots of vitamin C xx hope u feel better soon sweetie xx

have you tried Pholcodine Linctus cough medicine? i know people say cough medicines have no affect but i swear by it.

you have to ask at the pharmacy its not out to just pick up. it really works on the horrible barking coughs. its worth a try and if they ask you if you have used it before then just say yes! i would suggest taking it as soon as and hopefully in a week you wont have too and youll have 2 weeks before you op to stop taking any medication.

Lynz where have you got your pre op hun? Mines London hard to get any rest lol ive got 4 kids.

Carmel no i havent tried that, yeah have to admit ive never been one for taking cough medicine as doctors have always said they are pointless, but think il give it a go, ive waited waaaay to long for this.

ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! This post has not helped with my paranoya. My operation is on Tuesday and everyone at my work is ill!! I keep getting really worried that i’m catchign the cold xx

Carmel i think im now addicted to the stuff….. it did wonders last week got rid, but now i seem to have got it back so i bought another bottle. Thanks for the advice chick xx
