Crap service from mya BEFORE my op!!!!

I am sooo angry, i was due to have my pre op & see surgeon again today to decide on size ( as told surgeon wanted to lose stone which i have done & so he wanted to see impact on breasts before making decision on size) & got a call to say nurse had gone home due to an ill child now i know this can not be helped but what really peed me off was that my pc said surgeon wasnt at clinic today!!! She had messed up my appointment, so now i am not having my pre op & seeing surgeon until 25th Jan 2 days before my op!!!!! I now have to re arrange a babysitter for my 1yr old which if anyone has children this is not easy!!! I dont even know where the hospital is!!!

I rang her back after i had calmed down as no one had told me things like – do i need to stop taking my pill? when to start taking Arnica etc. If i hadnt rang her back i would carry on taking pill up to date of op (is it really necessary to stop taking it?) My pc also advised me what size sports bra to wear but how can she do this when all that is in my notes are possible sizes i may be having!!!! I think i will just buy a macom bra now to cover all possibilitys!!

Anyway this just got me thinking if they are like this now what will they be like AFTER i have op if there are any problems!!!!!

I know exactly how u are feeling – this happened to me except my surgeon had the flu! I was so so angry! But at the same time know I shouldent have been!

I am having my uplift and implants on 28th Jan – was suppose to have my final consultation on 7th Jan, I was so prepared for it. I paid my balance on 5th Jan and got a call on the 6th to say my consultation was cancelled! I felt like they had just taken my money and didnt care any more which Is how I still feel!

I got a call from my PC to say that there were no more appointments till my op and that I would have to wait till the morning of my op to discuss the size! WTF! I have to be at the hospital by 7 for my op, leaving my house at 5.30 is early enough! So I obviosuly went mad and they have managed to squeeze me in on the 19th at 6.45! I just hope he has enough time for me cause I have lots to ask him!

I have paid nearly £6000 for this through MyBreast and I am so pissed off! I am now having problems with the PC about booking my 2nd week check up – she said he is on holiday so I will not need one! I am sooooooooooooooooooo annoid but I am very pushy so will make sure I get it! I have also had problems with her booking my visit with the nurse, I had been on at her for weeks, she told me the nurse had the flu so I rang the hospital myself and booked it, I spoke to the nurse and I went there last night to have my swobs taken! I rang my PC today and she didnt even know about it and had still not rang the nurse!

So far MybREAST have been so so rubbish! I am only 19 and dont need this!!!

that not right!! just seeing the surgeon to pick size just b4 ur OP oh my god do they thing u going to get your nails done!!! it a life long desison you got to live with!! as for the rest!! soz girls it no been to good for uz send my good luck wishes hope uz sort things out Xxx

I’m confused, surely you couldn’t book surgery before deciding on a size, this seems mad! What if you hadn’t lost the weight, then what would they be doing??

Also should see your nurse at least two weeks prior to surgery to discuss the pill etc, take measurements and before pics and check your health before paying!

I was never told about the pill… I was never told to use arnica.. I was never advised what bra to get..

Alot of surgeons dont have issues with the pill & also dont suggest taking Arnica so maybe thats why you havnt been told.

As for bra size, they wont know either. You need to buy several & wear what one fits you.

Most of the info you can find online & in forums, reading other people experiences/advice… I did all my research myself & was prepared.

I was told to stop taking the pill 2 weeks before surgey by the nurse but some girls on here have been told by the surgeon that it is ok to keep taking it I would just stick to what you are told. I was not told about Arnica but some girls on here had mentioned it so I asked the nurse and she said to take it after the op as it helps with bruising and swelling. I was not told which bra to get but a lot of girls on here have recomended Maccom so I have now got one of those. I have also been told from a lot of girls on here to get throat sweets because when the tube is taken out of your throat tou get a bit of a sore throat. I have also been massaging bio-oil into my breasts day and night for 2 weeks prior to surgery to help with streching and scaring. I also have laxatives ready as aparently the medication stops you from going to the toilet lol. and last but not least i have a V pillow for comfort. Like altbarbie says you really need to do your own reasearch girlies but I understand that its frustrating you are not being told by your PC as we are all paying a lot of money. He advised me of a size when i 1st saw him & that was before making payment, im having uplift & implants so have paid £5100. The thing that annoyed me is that if it wasnt for this forun i would not know anything as they havent really told me much. I had to ask twice for a letter confiming my date of op & price etc & when that arrived it had a wrong date of birth on it!!!

The only reason i am staying with mya is that i am having Gary traynor & he has a fab reputation otherwise i would be asking for a refund!!! All i keep reminding myself is that the people making these cock ups dont have anything to do with the actual surgery & my pc has assured me that she can order implants a day b4 surgery but like mellisa998 my pc said i could just see him b4 surgery but there was NO WAY i was having that – 2 days before is bad enuf!!! xx

I wasnt really told much either… I saw the surgeon we decided size & he explained everything I needed to know about the surgery.

Everything else I had to find out for myself.. I got a letter with the wrong surgeons name on it. Sometimes the admin/pc staff can be a bit lack.

I changed my mind a few weeks before surgery about the size & never got to see my surgeon until the day of my op.. All you need to know is that your surgeon will do his best & thats all that counts. I cant fault Mr Singh & the hospital staff.

Transform are just as bad & have bad rep when it comes to aftercare.

No he doesn’t work for transform any more, tbh im ok with it now that i have been ranting all day lol!!! Like altbarbie says the surgeon will do the job so thats all that matters isnt it!!! I went for consul with transform & it took them 2 weeks to get back to me with a price so i think they are even worse. you would just expect 100% fantastic treatment from start to finish with the amount of money you pay!!! xx
