Theres a few like vanquis or aqua but they will both be hard to get a limit high straightbaway. Credit cards dont go on ur age

There is no reason you couldn’t put it onto a couple of credit cards, only problem with this is you can be stick with very high interest as the usual Tesco and bank credit cards you may struggle to get due to your age. Capital One tend to be quite flexible but interest Rates are high!
I’m 18 also and considered doing it that way but now were going with a personal loan and thankfully it’s going in my mums name! Maybe go and speak to your bank and get some finial advice, they can look at your crest rating and see what they think is best t might be they ca offer you a card. Definitely get some advice though. Xxxx

I posted a link before on here for loans it does a quotation sesrch so not negative on ur credit file. Your best getting your credit score as all your bank wikl do is do a creditcheck which if failed u lower your score and too many searches show desperation ans look really bad! Xx

I think my best bet is going to bank and speaking to them, I was thinking of trying for a small amount like 500 to start with using it for thingd like filling my car then paying it straight back to build a good credit history of me lending n paying back. Sucks that if you want to check your score n fail it’s lowered so bad!!! xx

Nono you can check your score thats not a bad thing thats a good thing. But for a bank to check theyd do a application for credit ifbthat fails then its the failing whats bad x

    https://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans/smart-search/Landing.aspx

Put the ammout and ur details and it does a quotation search on ur equifax file and it doesnt leave a bad mark and give you a instant decision on which loans youl get accepted for

Theres a card called luma which is for people who haven’t got a credit history and helps build credit – great for the idea of buying fuel and paying it off to build credit etc.
I paid on credit card for security and then transferred it to an interest free one. They charge you a small fee to transfer it but its worked out well xxx

The best credit site to use is Equifax as they use the correct scoring system what the creditors use. Other ones like Experian have a different scoring system so it will give you a higher score then what you actually have. The ones most creditors look at is your FICO score and only Equifax uses this. Your best doing the 30day free trial on it then cancelling, but make sure you ring and cancel as you will be charged £15 or so a month if not xx

    Hey heidi

They all givr you different numbers BUT they all show which category youd be in eg very poor poor fair good excellent experian is good as its monthly fee include fraud insurance and updates ur score too.
Equifax charges to see ur score even in ur 30day period
Id go on all check them all and then cancel! As then youl know how much of a chance you have xx

Hey, no I didn’t use it but my cousin does and she buys her fuel and then pays it off straight away so that it is not accruing interest at all. She is just trying to build her credit and rather than using the cash for items she uses Luma and then goes online and transfers the money straight back xxx

I went to the bank and got some advice and they did a credit heck on me without hang to put anything through as asking for credit. I was advised to get a capital one card to build my credit history. Thing was I did experience and my credit rating is 961 which is actually better than both my parents it as I have little evidence I would be denied credt and would need about six to eight month of proof and evidence and as I hang got hat sort of time on my side parents agreed to it going isn’t their name! It’s all very silly, I’m still doing what you’re considering and putting my fuel on a capital one credit card just to build my ow history but thank god for my parents as otherwise I’d be waiting a long time for my new boobies!

But sometimes issue is payong back in full doesnt boost it as they dont make intrest on you. So sometimes pay back in full and others make a min payment then a week l8r pay the rest ofd
