O god, I’m finally totally happy with the size I’m having but then I spoke to someone the other day who said – I would upgrade if I were you! Then I spoke to my PC who said to upgrade would be £461 and she said there isn’t much difference so wouldn’t really advise it so now I’m really confused :? Xx

i had responsives. There are not big differences. the upgrades to soft touch and responsives are a premium range by american company allergen in thier inspira range (i think the name of the range as recently changed tho but still the same products).

The difference is soft touch are firmer than standard cui.

Responsives are squidgier than standard and mimic the natural feel of breast tissue.

Both come with a life time guarantee and money towards a re-op in the first ten years (i think) if required.

Both have a textured surface which is supposed to help with capsular contraction.

Hope this helps! i paid extra 308 pound for responsives xxx

My implants are from the Inspira range; they are much softer than CUI’s and have a textured shell to reduce capsular contracture and have a much lower rupture rate. Mine feel so soft already and will continue to soften up over the next few weeks. It really depends what size your having; I had to have this range regardless because the CUI’s stop at 525cc and I have 800cc. The larger the implant, the higher the risks so it is best to reduce those risks as much as possible…However, unless your going to be around the 500 mark I wouldn’t bother as the risk is considerably lower. But do whatever makes YOU feel comfortable and happy :) x

    Here is the catalogue: http://www.puls-norge.no/upload/Puls/BR-Brosjyrer/RP%20Brystproteser/3%C3%B82.%20E%200573%202008%20Natrelle%20Product%20Catalogue%202009.pdf

    Hope this helps xx

Thanx ladies, Christ there is so much to think about lol I feel absolutely fine about having cui’s and my PC said there wasn’t major difference. My friend had cui and they feel really good anyway. I’m having 460. So the cui’s come with a 10 year guarantee yea, does that mean if anything happens within that time they will do a re op free of charge? And if you had lifetime guarantee they would re op at any point? So confused :?

I think the implant has a lifetime guarentee against rupture, but MYA only give 5 year surgical guarentee ( I think) xx

So what would happen if they rupture in say 15 years? It just means it has less chance but you would still have to pay for re op?

I think once the guarantee has run out then yeah, you have to pay for a re op x

You probably have the standard ones then amandaa hun, or you would have been billed the extra money for the upgrade x

I had soft touch personally I’m so

Happy with it because I’m tiny framed and usually if you have less breast tissue rippling risk is higher so I had soft touch to ensure I reduce this risk. Is FDA approved and lifetime guaranteed…for my own piece of mind I thought it was worth £461 more. Soft touch is the most filled implant.

I’ve seen girls with good results from all the difference implants…it’s down to your surgeons opinion and also your own personal preference.

    Xxx

Some of you ladies who are confused regarding the differences between implants may find this useful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vFyAEgqJSw&feature=g-hist&context=G29302cbAHT0QyIgABAA

The ‘old style silicone’ implant which is the second featured in the video is the filler used in the standard CUI implants and the ‘modern silicone implant’ which is the last to be featured in the video with the cohesive gel are the fillers used for the Inspira range. The only thing this video fails to mention is the Biocell textured shell featured in the cohesive gel implants which helps to protect against capsular contracture and rupture.

Another thing to note is that the old style silicone implants are no longer used in America but are approved here xxxx

If my memory serves me right, the cui are cohesive implants and won’t leak as shown the in the link, they are safe x

My PC explained to me that CUI’s are covered against rupturing for 10 years whereas responsives and soft touch have are covered for lifetime. But by lifetime it basically means that if they rupture in 15,20,30 years, you’d have to pay for the operation yourself but the replacement implants would be free of charge and they would give you £700 towards your re-op. My PC said there wasn’t much difference between the CUI’s and the upgrades but I chose the upgrade because I wanted that lifetime guarantee and my surgeon advised that if it was a family member of his, he’d want them to go for the responsives, so I did! xx

The Inspira range have something like 300 different variations, so yeah they come in the same sizes but there’s less restrictions as to what profiles you can have with what volume so that’s a plus :)

Take a look at the catalogue link I posted earlier xx

pc said that she wouldnt bother as after 10 years your boobs would of changed anyway and you’d probably want a re-op (ageing – having children) the im having the CUI ones, there the jelly baby ones, the theory is that if they were to rupture, nothing would spill out, it would stay where it is, like it would if you bit in to a jelly baby lol xx
