Day 2 – Swelling

Hi ladies, didn’t have the best nights sleep sue to the pressure from the swelling and the tape Mr Kazzazi has wrapped me in. Taken some more meds do that should help. Is there anything else I can take for the swelling? Cold compress??

Gotta say to, take the swelling away and so far I am happy with the shape of my new little girls be nice when I can see them in the flesh xx

Hi hunnie. I’m 6 days po and I found a cold damp flannel folded and put across the top of my chest helped a lot. I have been sleeping in the armchair since mt BA sleeping upright. Have gone to bed once but couldnt sleep. Hope to try again tonight. Keep your pain relief regular even if you feel ok that way your topped up just incase. Hope you feel better soon. hey Chelle… mr Kazzazi does like to torture us doesn’t he lol. i had same thing last night. Actully, i felt a bit wuzzy with it last night. meds made me feel all giddy lol… it was strange, like they have moments they wanna swell… i felt all warm and could literally feel em pushing against the tape LOL. feel tight today. i get the whole 3 day thing at the moment. bad nights sleep. ha ha

Hey Hun, he does like to make it as tight as possible doesn’t he! Touch wood, I’m on day 3 and they feel much much better than the last 2 days of pure torture! Try and sleep with your head and chest slightly raised as there is less of a pressure cooker feel when yoi try to sit up.stay strong I promise a day or so will make the world of difference xx

Kellymc80, ive accepted you huni, i cant believe myself that i have put pics up. Before i had the op my nipples are slightly inverted due to an operation i had 2 years ago. I had a bi-lateral duct excision, basically they removed my milk ducts as there were signs of blood which is occasionally linked to breast cancer. I was told it was safer to do the op. Was gutted with the long term damage tho. Part of me hopes the BA helps this too x

They look great! Really. Same shape as mine but slightly larger. Did you try cold compress? If so did it help? X

thanks hun, you should get ur pics on here. I feel more comfortable showing you ladies on here than i will my friends if the ask. At least we all know what implants look like I’ve got the cold compress on still. Had it on for 4 hours now. My right one is more swollen than the left and i’m getting like shooting pains in the left one. Is this normal?

Not sure if shooting pains are normal but I’ve been getting slight stabbing pains. Check out with your nurse Hun. Right I’m gonna take pics too. Feel such a bloody mess at the mo but I guess we’re all in the same boat xx

Yeah i guess they are slight stabbing pains. If my right one is still bigger tomorrow i’ll give them a call. I am worried about stretching the skin too much and getting stretch marks on them. I did use palmers cream for weeks before so hopefully that will help.

Yeah take some pics hun, you should be proud of them now and show them off. Like you say, we are all going through it, about to or have come out the other end. I bet they look fab xxx

OMG ladies, I thought it was too good to be true! My right breast as I look down is still huge and it’s uncomfortable. Just work up and had to take some painkillers. Is this normal? I’m worried about the stretched skin too as the last thing I want is more stretch marks. Anyonr else been so swollen?

Chelle you really need to call your nurse honey. Are you taking your anti inflammotaries? I’m not sure if it’s normal but she’ll be able to advise you and put your mind at ease. Take care xx

Chellebelle I was swollen for about 2 weeks and I was told to use a warm compress after the first 48hours, so I had a hot water bottle under each arm and it helped loads x

Yeah cold compress for the first 48hours and then warm. Worked wonders. Hope you’re feeling better soon x

Heat is good for the pain, however, it encourages blood flow the the area so not sure if it will help with the swelling, whereas cold compress restricts blood flow to the area, hence why it is used for swelling. I’m a first aider at work which is the only reason i know this hehe!!! The heat may be comforting though x

Hey Girls. Stabbing or sharp pains is totally normal my sweets. Chellebelle it’s where your muscle has been cut and the nerves are all trying to nit back together. Remember, treat each boob as a different op so they will heal differently at possibly different rates. I sometimes still get the odd stabbing/sharp pain 6 month on.

WELL!…. HONESTLY???…. They look freaking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! They are gonna be such a nice shape when they drop too. Think your gonna end up the same size as me. (unless you thing mine look minging) then ya in trouble!!!

I have been a bit more daring and showing him but that will come with time i guess. At the moment i am all boobs and belly with swelling so not feeling that sexy!

You can cop a feel if ya like, i’ve barely touched them through fear their gonna hurt. Cant wait until my chest feels like my own again. The boob farting is still going on thats proper weird, its usually my stomach doing that!

LOl. And swelling won’t go down for a while yet hun so im afraid your gonna have to cope with people looking lol. Just wear a higher top if it worries you hun.

My boobs didn’t go down from underneath my chin until I took my macom bra after 6 weeks.

Some surgeons say not to wear a bra for 6 weeks because it makes them drop alot quicker but just go with what your surgeon recommends.

And boss man isn’t in until afternoon so you’ll only have a couple of hours or so lol.

And don’t worry i’ll be copping a feel! lol x
