So today’s day 3 and feeling ok! I’ve been quite shocked with how able and well I’ve been since the op.
After coming round after surgery I was sick a few times, but this is apparently normal after the G.A and haven’t been sick since. Needed help getting to the toilet and struggled with sleep but nothing too painful.
Day 2 I was fine, felt like I can open doors and flush the toilet to my amazement haha! I was sat downstairs a lot and felt this helped so that I was sat upright. Last night was uncomfortable and a pain getting to sleep in my bed for the first time. I felt a lot of tightness across my chest and getting out of breath easily whilst getting ready for bed but that’s probably me at my worst so far.
Today’s day 3 and I’ve stayed in bed all day because although I feel ok within myself I don’t want to push myself.
Has anyone been shocked with their capabilities post op? I have had overs but I was expecting to be bed bound and mega sleepy. If anything my chest feels really heavy, swollen and tight, but I have a M&S bra on which I think is slightly too small due to the swelling but that’s the only discomfort I have.
I was mega nervous before my op also for the drains being removed, but honestly they were fine a bit uncomfortable but it’s over within seconds for anybody who’s worried! Hope this helps a few xxx
