Day 3/4 post op – when will i feel better??

Hi, so i had my op on Monday and since then things seem to have been getting worse. I can’t breathe through my nose at all, which means my throat is so sore and dry. It’s the worst it’s been today. Cos of this i can’t take any tablets or eat anything, so ive got a headache etc. Does anyone have any tips on what I should do?

I’m just thinking why did i pay so much money to feel like this, was my nose before really that bad etc.

Has anyone else felt like this? It just feels never ending ‘( ‘(

Any advice or stories would be great cos i just feel so awful today..x

The first few days for anyone honey,are always the worst,in a few weeks you will not even look back at this because you will see all the benefits when you look in the mirror,when you feel the way you do it is hard to imagine feeling normal again,but you will,it just takes time,and we are all so impatient because we want to feel good.You are thinking now your nose may not have been that bad before,thats because you are feeling low and uncomfortable now,but you are forgetting why you did this in the first place honey,you didnt like your nose,all I can say is stick with it,it does get better,contact the nurse tell her you are having problems eating,you need some advise because you need to find a way to get the medication and food in to you,make sure you are drinking enough,I know this will hurt if your throat is sore,but little sips and often will help,please call your nurse and explain how you are feeling honey,big hugs,xxx

I think youre at the worst point hun. Everyone seems to, at Day 4ish, have the lowest point. You’re still completely knocked around from the op, all the symptoms will be coming out at their worst and it’s when you get really fed up thinking that youre ONLY at day 4 and how much more of it you have to take before the cast even comes off.

Stick with it! Try to keep your mind busy doing whatever you can. You will feel better, I promise!! I felt exactly the same. Day 4 for me was the worst – I just sat there questioning why the jazz i’d put myself through something so not nice. But it will all be worth it.

I had my ba wed I know it’s a different op but I literally am in the worst pain and agony and it is only getting worse I do just want ya to know thinking of u and also feel sooo shit babe xxx

I think you are over the worst ladies hang in there, think of the results,it will be worth it.xxx

I hope so, still feel awful though. I think my throat is so sore because of the pipes they used. There are White marks on the back of my throat. Did you get this? Or know how long it takes to go? Or what I can do to help get rid of it? Xx
