Hey girls,
feeling so good i thought id add a quick post!! Had op last thursday n feel i was a lot slower compared to most people on here at bouncing back but im feeling fantastic now
Up untill thursday still didnt have much mobility on my left side due to still a lot of swelling, but after seeing the nurse and being told keeping it moving will help (and following that advice) things have got better and better
Was told i was a few days behind recovery due to being very petite n having unders, but got up friday n noticed was getting a bit more movement back. Then by afternoon noticed i had loads so went round shops on my lunch break!! Found a top i liked thought id try it on and noticed my boobs were starting to drop n take on more natural shape
yeah!! Reaqlly put me in a great mood and still have it! Even at daft o clock!!
So advice is after say about day 5 just keep liitle movement going like little shoulder shrugs etc and it will stop you stiffening out more n help you recover better.
My pc rang me yesterday too Alison shes lovely she couldnt have rang me at a better time the mood i was in
So good luck girlies and happy healing
xx
Hi Chery, so glad for you!
I had unders on Tuesday and today made the decision to come off the co dydramol and just take paracetamol for any pain. The swelling under by boobs seems to have gone down so am a lot more comfy, felt like i’d been punched before!
Still not able to do all movements with my arms, like if i use them to help me up the pain across the top of my chest is awful but as long as i pay note of that i feel i’m healing well!
Nice to hear that by day 9 I should be pretty much back to normal, kids and hubby will be pleased!
Glad you are healing well and congrats on them dropping, look after yuorself. Ros x
Thanks girls, It certainly does get easier with time!! I pretty much did nothing the first 3 days, my hubby did it all!! Even to point of pushing me up off couch or out of bed. Because doing them things like you say Ros hurts your boobs because of the pressure. After day 3 i would do little things and i mean little n just try to use my arms because it helps to drain the fluid or something.
I read another girls story on here and she said she give her house a deep clean the day after her op!! Makes you feel incompetent lol. But when feeling low just remember its been a major op and your body needs time so defo make use of doing nothing!!
Hope you feeling much better soon ladies
Hi chery, congrats on your new boobs
I didn’t even go out of the house for the first 6 days!! I think your body does need time to recover, so even if you feel like doing stuff, it’s a good excuse to stay sat down and let hubby help out
What size did you have? Tammy x
Hi Tammy, thanks its such a fab feeling when you finally feel like youve turned that corner and over the worse!! I had 340 unders and went from a 32a even tho im to wear no bra for 6 weeks, i quickly tried my sports bra on last nite to see what size im measuring at. I fit into a D perfectly
How far past post op are you Tammy? Hope all is going well xx
hi “chery” glad all is going well, can I ask you where you had your consultations, operation and with which surgeon?? thanks
hey girls, i’m 3 days post-op and feeling very tired and achey today. i had 300cc overs with upliftand i’m still sore and swollen. i’m moving around every so often drinking plenty of water and applying icepacks. the uplift is adding to all the pressure i feel on my chest too. in dd sports bra at moment. i’m off work for 2 weeks and really glad ‘ve got the forums to turn to for support. glad you’re recovering well chery, can’t wait to turn a corner like you, it’s so frusrating aching and being limited xxx
hi chery, bet you were chuffed to find the D fitted
I had my ba 17 months ago! Had 380 overs from a 34B and now 34E
No problems at all, and very happy. Bet you are looking forward to new bra shopping
x
hi michelle, I know its so frustrating not being able to do anything, but try and enjoy the rest, cos you will heal quicker hun. Take care x
Hiya,
I had my consultations at manchester john street my coordinator was Alison and can’t rate her enough. My surgeon was Mr Traynor whom i chose as 1 of my friends had him n couldnt rate him enough and everybody on here too. I chose well he listened to what i wanted and they are amazing i love them and im only at day 10 post op. I had my op done at Manchester lifestyle and was lovely there a little dis appointed to hear their is discussion of closing the clinic in manchester tho
Another friend of mine is booking to have hers done in April and also wants mr traynor and manchester lifestyle.
Tammy well done with your op you have a brilliant size result
And yes roll on the bra shopping!! Went to an Ann summers party last night and you can imagine i wanted buy all this stuff but so unsure of size ill be at 6 weeks!! And of chours everybody had me having my boobs out!! N everybody thought they was good, minimal scars n so natural n in sync with my body as im petite i think they thought i was gonna be all boobs after op lol….but they really are great
Michelle you will notice a considerable difference from around day 6 i think. I didnt have an uplift i hear the pain is more with that, but hope you feeling better soon. The immobility of it all really is the worst thing i think us women are always on the go we dont have time to sit around lol. I went out a few times during my recovery first time on day 3 just went to my friends house in the evening to get out, it all helps mentally then you dont go stir crazy feeling a prisoner. Then day 4 i was at a pantomine!! lol but even that helped too apart from when i panicked at the point water was thrown in audience n i wasnt meant get wet!! haha
Anyhow good luck with the healing all xxx
Hey chery, thank you, yes the immobility of it all is so frustrating, my arms ache all the time and my stomach is still bloated! I had some salts earlier as I haven’t had any loo action for 5 days! I’ve been drinking plenty of water and eating healthy as I’m a bit worried all this rest will result in me putting on weight! My bf and sister have been looking after me, she’s here today cooking me a lamb dinner bless her. The pain isn’t all that bad today, but then I’ve had painkillers earlier on this morning. I’m still sleeping upright too, I was in bed most of yesterday and I had to get up every so often as my bum was so numb! I hope all this is worth it in the end, just keep thinking what the final result will be, I hope I’ll be happy. Happy healing to you all too, I will post more pics soon. xxx
The upright sleeping is awfull. TBH didnt seem too bad at first but then you suffer knock on effects after about 4 days
Like your bum is sore n sensitive for being on it constantly lol. Luckily im back on my back
.
Remembered i have a funny tale about my trip home from after my BA off topic tho so ill start a new thread headed funny tale with a moral!! Should give you a giggle which always helps us feel better
