Day case

So I’m going in for a day case. They’ve asked me to pack a nighty on the pre op sheet. Would this be needed if I’m going in on a day case. I would have thought I could go in like not al clothes, get changed into my op gown and then only change again when I’m ready to go home. Did any of you that had day case take nighty or night clothes an dressing gown?

Hey Sam, I was a day case and took pjs and dressing gown and slippers and tooth brush and paste. I didn’t end up using the pjs but they asked me to put my dressing gown and slippers on to walk to theatre to cover my bum at the back as the gown didn’t cover it well lol. I took toothpaste and brush as anaesthetic leaves a slight funny taste. Good luck 🙂 xx
