Hiiiii, has anyone had a day op and went home later on that day and not stayed close to the hospital?
My patient coordinator did say if I was going to have a day op then to stay close to the hospital….
Just wondering how many people do stay close? Or whether it would be ok to go home.
Also, how quickly do you get sent home if your a day case?

I had daycase, admission time was 12:30 went down around 3pm & was back at my room for 5pm, got released at 9pm. I stayed close to my hospital and I’m glad I did as there was no way I could of travelled the 3 hours back home xxx
You’re supposed to stay within an hour of the hospital for the first like 24 hours, just in case! I was a day case and was out by half 4 in the afternoon and then stayed in a nearby hotel as I live a 2 and a half hour drive away from the hospital haha xxx
I was a day case, I asked my surgeon if I could be first in. I arrived at the hospital for 6:30am and I left at 4pm and I got home for 6pm. I wanted to get straight home cuss I have kids and he was fine cuss my partner was with me. X
