Day case or overnight?

Hi ladies, I’m supposed to be an overnight case and now wondering whether or not to make a quick decision and change my mind. I’ve got 2 weeks to go till op…..heeeeellllllpppppp!!!!!

I didn’t need an overnight stay hun, I stayed in a nearby hotel. If you aren’t well enough to leave they keep you in overnight anyways, and I think it’s for free if that’s the case!!

Personally I don’t see the point in paying that much extra for overnight xx

Yeah go as a daycase. They will keep you in overnight for free if you have to stay. It’s so much cheaper to stay in a nearby hotel if you want to stay close to the hospital x

AGREED WITH BELLE!!! are you able to get refund back if you have already paid for overnight stay x

Yeah definitely day case. £400 is alot of Money and this way you also get the earlier operation time so less time you can’t eat or drink for. I felt alot better when I got back to the hotel too, think the fresh air helps x

I was booked as a day case and mya had to change it to an over night stay as they had over booked on day cases i wasnt charged anymore but im glad i stayed at the hospital i was annoyed that i didnt get a proper meal i was given soup and then i had fried breakfast the next morning but it wasnt nice at all so my partner ended up eating it and i went home hungry x

This is the thing, I’ve only got £400 left to pay which needs to be paid by tomorrow the latest. I also only live about 25 minutes away from the hospital so won’t need to stay in a hotel, I think i was just trying to be safe then sorry with staying in over night.

I hope it’s not too late and they’re ok with me changing my mind at such late notice…..eeeekkkkk!!!

Thanks for your advise ladies, also what was it like leaving the hospital the same day, how did everyone feel?

I felt great, no pain, just sleepy. I slept for 2 days after. They don’t push you to go, you can stay as long as you like and leave in your own time. At highgate anyway. I think if you’re only 25mins away then def go as a daycase x

Just been told there’s no space available on the 7th at Highgate with Mr Adamo for a day case……aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!

I wonder what time your op will be because I think some girls on here were overnighters but felt good enough to go home after their op and they were refunded x

I am changing mine from a night case to a day case if theres availability but mine isnt until 23rd December but I know there are 8 girls already booked in so fingers crossed I can!! xx

Just spoke to PC and the system is down so need to wait to find out if they have any space’s on either the 14th, 21st or 28th.

I was soooo looking forward to the 7th…. 😥
