I’ve been told I’m having an overnight stay for my BA but I wasn’t given the choice this is just what I’ve been told by my pc. Which is better? Why do I need an overnight stay? What time would I be able to go home if I changed to a day case? Xxx

I had a day case and felt fine going home, u get to go home 4 hours after your opp, if your not well enough they keep u in anyway for no extra, id pay for a day case hun, 400 pound extra to spend on bras xx

reg7 – you’re going to highgate arn’t you? can I ask who your PC is hun? reason I ask is because I’m thinking of canx overnight stay now but am still debating whether I will regret that on the nearly 2hr drive home x

If you’re having a more complicated op with longer general anaesthetic, uplift too for example, you would have to stay overnight. is this the case? xx

Missym83 yeahh I’m at highgate hun and my pc is Hollie Green. And as far as I know acorn88 I’m just having a straight forward BA no uplift of anything although I haven’t had my consultation with the surgeon yet I’m meeting him tomorrow so I guess I won’t know for sure until after xx

I was given the price of my BA and was never given the choice of an overnight stay or not. My pc just told me u stay at the hospital overnight! wish that I’d known the difference is £400! :(

reg7 – oh I’ve heard good things about Hollie, I thought you might have said Nadja Collins, she’s my PC. Was going to ask if she was ok about you canx the overnight stay as I haven’t canx mine yet.

Crampy – how much was the Roseview? was it ok? hhmmmm not sure I like the thought of a local hotel straight after op, I would worry that the sheets were dirty all night lol.

awww am sure if your that close (reg7) you would be fine, I’m about an hour away(In Basingstoke) so though I may be cutting it fine so thought best to book one xxx

Roseview is £89.00, decided to get a twin room so my other half doesnt knock me or something in the night, the standard double is same price and small double a tenner cheaper, here’s the link below xxx

I live just over an hour away from the hospital, my friend drove me home, there was never any question of them making me stay, i was just advised to bring a cushion to put between me and the seatbelt. My pc even said there was no point booking overnight as if there were any issues they would not let me leave and i wouldn’t be charged extra xx
