day case or overnight?

can anyone give me advice on wehter i shud do daycase or overnight stay cos im not sure and wud love to get my price down abit suggestion s please ladies anyone have any probs post op did u have much pain straight after etc please help as i have to decide very soon as i already booked my surgery before ive seen surgeon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx thankls Hayley and i wud love to see some pics please

Hi I’mhaving overnight stay (today) and the hospital is 5 mins from my house! The only reason I opted for overnight is the last time I had GA I was sick after & I have 2 kids at home who won’t let me rest! My friend has opted for day case and was told that if they feel your not well enough to go home the let u stay for free?? Daycases are usually done early in day so you have time to recover! I think if you want to knock some money off then opt for a day case (if you have someone to look after you overnight) you will be fine x

daycase without a doubt, why pay £400 to sleep there. i was a daycase and had to stay over night cos my drains werent ready to be taken out and my opp didnt take place til later than expected. if for any reason you or they feel ur not ready to leave they keep u in for free x

dayyycaseeee!!!! I was absolutely fine, supposedly they use a different type of GA now that dont make you as ill, I wasnt sick but had to eat my dinner SO slowly coz just sitting up made me feel sick lol I’d like eat a bit, then lie back, then eat a bit, then lie back etc. managed to eat it ALL though and I had a 3 course meal!

I had a daycase with unders! Was home by 6pm! Xx

I was overnight and didn’t get given the option of being a daycase I was told my surgeon wouldn’t let me home, i went to theatre at 3pm and to be honest I was glad I was overnight as I was too drugged up and in pain at 9pm when my husband left me. I had unders. I think everyone is different.
