day case v overnight stay

hi all, im booked in for my B.A on the 22/07/14 🙂 ive been offered a daycase and seemed happy with this but now its getting closer im wondering if I should really stay, just to be extra safe. have any of you had a day case and been ok to travel home? apparently I will be on a ward rather than a private room, is this true?

any help and advice would be great 🙂

I had an overnight stay and really enjoyed it. Had private room and own bathroom and nurses couldn’t do enough for me.

Hey hun its £450 for a overnight stay so most ppl just book in 2 a hotel.. try not to worry if there was any signs of problems the hospital would not let u out.. i went home the same day but ur nt really meant to xx

I was a day case and had a private room. The nurse said it was like 400 to stay over night but if you really need to stay u stay for free. So I thought there’s no point in paying that if I actually need to stay I would stay for free

thanks ladies, think il just stick with the day case (maybe I’m just over worrying about everything) don’t really like the thought of being on a ward with everyone else but £450 is a lot for a private room when ill prob just sleep 😀 xx

I paid for an overnight stay because I was worried about heart conditions I have just to be extra safe! Turned out I just wanted to go home so think I would of lost my money now 🙁 just get a hotel Hun! X

just looking at hotels nearby now. I live 1 hour 40min from the hospital. what it be to much to travel that far? XXX

I was so nervous on the day up until the surgeon drew on me and I made my boyfriend take a photo of my before pic.. I was mortified and couldn’t wait to get into the operating room! It will be so worth try to focus on the end result it will be over so quick xxxx

Depending on which hospital your going too I had mine done at fitzroy today and it was really really hot in the rooms am glad to be home in m bed so either home or a nice little hotel really near to the surgery Hun x
