day cases

hi i jsut wondered what determines whether you are a day case or an overnight case as i really dont want to stay overnight but didnt know if there were any circumstances that mean you have to stay overnight

I got told if u live mroe than an hour away from hospital that u have to stay overnight. jsut incase theres any problems xx

I live 2hrs 30m away from the Manchester Lifestyle, but because I stayed in a hotel nearby I was able to have my ba done as a daycase. You need to be within a hours drive from the hospital incase you need any medical attention after you have been discharged. A nurse will then come out to you, rather than you going back to the hospital. xx

arrr thanks girls thats really helpful am looking to have my ba in birmingham and i live about half an hour away so hopefully will be able to be a day case x
