    Hey guys.
So my op is in 9 days down at Preston. While I’m there my hubby will be taking me. Will he be asked to leave at any point in the day or will he be able to stay with me? (Obviously he won’t be in the operating room)

    Hi Stephanie,
I had my op in London and my husband stayed the whole time. He was able to stay in my room whilst I was in theatre/recovery. He had to leave in the evening to catch a train so I don’t know how long he would have been able to stay after the op (I was quite late going in) but on something I read, it said he would have had to leave at 8pm.
I hope that helps and good luck!

Hi Hun, My boyfriend was allowed to stay all day, he was welcome to pop in and out as he pleased to get himself some food/move the car too xx

I had my op at the Fitzroy on Thursday and my boyfriend was asked to wait in the reception/waiting room while I was in theatre. Was quite confused by that as I had read that if you have your own room then they can just wait in there for you… Oh well the wifi in my room was non existent anyway so he was glad to wait elsewhere in the end!

Oh right that’s a bit crap you’d think they’d let you be with someone at least for a bit of support!! I’d read they can wait in reception which i think is rubbish! Lol how you feeling after surgery? Xxx

Yeah I would have much preferred it is he was in my room waiting for me when I came out of surgery rather than having to wait for him to come back up! I’m starting to feel a lot better today thank you, really suffered with the pain the first few days but have cut down my codeine dosage now and it’s more of a tight ache now rather than constant pain. Can’t wait to see changes xx

Yes I was just in for the day. My admission time was 7:30, went straight to my room and the anesthetist and surgeon had been to see me within the hour. Went to surgery just after 10, was back in my room around 11;30 and left the hospital at 5pm.
I’m day 6 now and it’s been a complete turning point – it’s the first day I can honestly say things are getting better. I’ve only had 3 paracetamol all day with the last one being at 1pm (it’s 11:30pm now!). Getting my dressings off tomorrow which I’m so excited about as they’re getting so itchy and sticky as the edges are peeling. Can’t say I’ve noticed much change in the actual implants though! But I haven’t taken any comparison pictures for a few days so maybe I should start doing that..
Bet you’re getting really excited now aren’t you?! Xx
