I always thought I wanted to stay overnight as I am a worrier and liked the idea of having someone medical around me if anything was to go wrong on the first night. but to be a daycase is so much cheaper and i may even be able to have it done sooner…which is making me think perhaps I should go for a daycase. Please could some of you give me some advice on what you went for>? how you felt after your operation? and whether you would of wanted to leave the hospital or would of preferred to stay overnight?? thanks.

Hiya i had a day case, think alot of girls do tend to go for that because of the price difference! I was a bit worried about going off after the op, i am a worryer anyway, but a couple of hours after the op i was fine. They do ask you to stay within an hour of the hospital afterwards as they would come out to you if you had any problems, so we stayed in a hotel 5/10mins away from the hospital and then went home the next morning x x

hi i went on an overnight, n glad i did, i could not move there would of been no way i could of gone home same day, i stuggled the next day, n i felt safer knowing if aything went wrong, the nurses are there, i did have to call them in the night for pain killers, so for peace of mind it is worth the extra money..x

    Hi Milly
Had my op yesterday I went for a day case but I don’t live too far from the hospital I went down at 0900 and was back in my room at 1030 they do keep you in the hospital for about 4 hours after your op to check your ok I stayed till 4pm was feeling a little sick and dizzy but that was from the anaesthetic. I had under the muscle and was in quite a bit of pain for the 1st 5-6 hours but felt ok after that and am surprise today how little pain I am in have not had to use all the pain killers given just using them when I feel a bit sore. Def prefer to be at home whilst in the hospital the staff didn’t come round to check on me as often as I thought they would in a private hospital. Everyone seems to have different experiences I was really worried about the pain but 1 day later so far so good will keep you updated on my progress. Take Care
