Intrigued to find out if majority of you are paying for overnight stay or if most of you have gone day rate? i think its a good idea paying to stay overnight, but my issue is the op is going to be in london and i have a little boy at home, my partner is meant to be coming with me to support me so no one to look after him. we were discussing wether even most people do stay over or not? and wether any of you went home and were fine! please let me know xxxx

    Hiya.

A lot of girls on here go as a day case because it’s cheaper, remember if you go as a day case and for some reason you have to stay overnight you don’t pay extra. If the journey home is a long one, some girls have stayed at a nearby hotel, which was cheaper than staying at the hospital overnight, and have travelled home the next day. This is what I will do.x

    Hi,

I have decided to stay at a hotel nearby…. If u live 45 mins or less ur allowed to go home but I live over an hour n half so not allowed!! It’s so much cheaper to get a hotel then stay at hospital n if u ask ur pc they will send u out a listing of all nearby hotels. Hope this helps!? Xx

    Hi,

I’m staying over night but thats because i have to as i’m having an uplift with implants. My husband will be dropping me off and picking me up but i’ve nobody staying with me as he has to look after our kids as we’ve no family close by.

If you’ve not got any grandparents or any other family he could stay with maybe you could get a family room in a nearby hotel?

ive booked a hotel for next week im staying just 5mintues away its cheaper than the hospital and to be honest i dunt like hospitals much rather b at my own comfort with my mam! i would also recommend a family room in a hotel if u carnt get your son looked after then yur husband can drop u off visit u after surgery and pick u up later on in the day xxxx

Im having uplift & implants but they are letting me be a day case, i have heard that once all drugs wear of can be a painful drive home so i would rather get home asap & be in my own bed. They do keep you in if need to at no extra cost xx

I’m staying overnight as i’d much rather have the staff nearby with more pain relief if i need it! They won’t let you go home if you live a long way away but you can stay at a nearby hotel.
