Girls every morning I feel like I wake up with more and more swollen! I’m sleeping with so many pillows and a batwing pillow to keep me up right and I’m an ice pack throughout the night!

I’m also so bloated still and have being able to go for a poo for 5days!

    I need tips!!! Haha xx

i used an ice pack pretty much 24/7 for the first 5 days. obviously having small breaks but making sure it was on top and on the sides too. do you have one thats plyable and not solid?

have you tried drinking peppermint tea or ducolax (laxative?) i took one and within 24 hours i had a poop. after that i was able to eat more food as i felt better and the rest came naturally.

i couldn’t take co-codamil so i went on to both paracetamol and ibuprofen. the latter helps reduce swelling also, but it does prolong any bruising.

hope some of this information helps 🙂

    Hi Claire,

Thanks for your reply! – I have a plyable ice pack just one though so I need to get some more on the go as I have a gap without one on for a while!..

Peppermint tea not tried however I have got some laculose stuff I think I’ve spelt it wrong and I’ve taken that this morning – let’s see how I get on!

I haven’t taken co codimal today as I’m sick of feeling this way so I have switched to paracetamol so see if that will help.

I was advised can’t take Ibroprophen for another two weeks .. but will check with the nurse on Monday..
I was taking arnica so thankfully I haven’t any bruises I can see …!

Will deffo try peppermint tea though!

What po day are you? Are u happy? XXx

I’m now POD10 and so happy with the results. they’re getting softer, and one is dropping more than the other but thats to be expected. had my first shower today and it was blissful haha

i think the only reason some nurses don’t advise ibuprofen as it can prolong the bruising, but it really helped me with the swelling. I can now get in and out of bed no problem. though i did try and lie flat last night, and it hurt a bit, so had to go back to sleeping on an angle.

if you are local to manchester i would have said you can have my ice packs as i don’t intend on using them again! ha!

how are you getting on? x

im not a mya patient so i won’t be able to say. he’s one of the most sought after surgeons in the UK though, and I’m very glad i went with him. had my op in manchester. i had 335 and 325 partials from a 32a/aa and now measuring at 32d/dd – I’m only measuring so i can see how much swelling as impacted and then the drop and fluff process..! I’m documenting my journey so its interesting to see how they change! I’ve been washing mine over the kitchen sink every 4 days up until today…!! xx

    Ah okay! I see…

Ah wow that’s amazing!.. yes drop and fluff is all I want ! have to be so patient it’s so annoying! But documenting everything is a great idea!

Ah next time I’m going to try that.. but because I have hair extensions I can’t leave it to dry! Or they go funny lol xx
