Daycase ??? anyone been a daycase ?

Hiya ….im having my BA tues and im a daycase

my two mates are taking me to highgate hospital,going

shopping together and then picking me up when im

ready to go…… when kind of time can they expect

to come pick me up ??? My admission time in 9am

i had a day case on wednesday at manchester i had to be there for 7.30 and i went down for my op at 9.30 i was able to leave the hospital at about half 3 4ish. do u live far from the hospital as if u do i would advise staying near by only cos i was really sick the whole way home cos of the GA was the worst journey haha! i was sick all the first night aswel. make sure u take pillows for traveling home xx

i had my ba done a few weeks ago.. my admission time was 11 at Highgate and i went down at about 1.30.. my friends also came with me to highgate and then i insisted that they went out on a day trip rather than sitting there waiting for me and then i would text them when i was ready to go to the hotel (as i was a day case). They came back to me at about 7pm as Mr Adamo likes to come round and see his patients once all his surgery for the day is done.. (i’m assuming they all do that). Its probably easier to just text them when you’re back in the room as you have to wait and see the nurse a couple of times, drink your tea and toast and they are so lovely they just said to me i was ok to go home when i was ready and there was no rush… which we took advantage of as it was pouring of rain.. they wont ask you to leave without someone with you so don’t worry.x
