    Hi ladies,

Thinking about having a daytime op, I would rather be in my own bed than stay at hospital…has anybody else experienced this and what would you recommend??

Hey hunni, i had mines on friday and stayed overnight. Personally, im glad i did as i took a horrible reaction the GA (which has happened the 3 times in my life that ive had one!!). I really needed to know that there were people around who could help cos i was such a state. Plus, ive got 2 young kids at home so didnt want them to see me that way.

I think theres only a minority of girls who react badly tho, and so many of the girls on here have been day cases and had a great experience!! xx

i was overnight and i was really glad i was as i did feel sick and my left boob swelled right up and had to go on drip but pushing that to one side i still would prefer to stay in for the rest and reassuarance x

im having mine done on tues as a day case so will let ya know. Staying in a hotel done the road, paid with tesco point as well. I think you have to stay within 30mins or an hour of hospital if u dont life close enough incase something was to happen so the first night u prob wouldnt be in ur bed but it would be cheper if u didnt stay at hospital. xx

Thanks :) I live about 30 mins away from the hospital so should be fine! There is one in my hometown about 10 mins away but there isn’t an option to have my surgery on the date I would prefer on that date so fingers crossed i’ll be fine!

Can’t wait to hear your experience…good luck :D xxx
