after all the negative post’s i’ve been reading lately on here, not about the surgery itself but the aftercare. The aftercare was the main reason i was going to choose MYA to begin with, and i feel dissapointed with all the post’s saying how poorly girls have been treated post op.

I’ve been offered surgery by The Hospital Group with a fantastic surgeon for over a 1000 cheaper than with MYA and Dr Singh for a year aftercare, which for me is enough.

Although i’ve heard hundreds of positives about Dr Singh (he truly is the boobie God right girls!) and girls post op and im in love with the end results (you all look truly fantastic!) Im just not ready to risk anything going wrong with this surgery and it not being treated as 100% urgent if anything does go wrong. Judging by the girls who have had problems, they haven’t been taken seriously and i think for 4500+ pounds i’d want to feel secure with the company.

I’ll now be going with the hospital group as 3 of my friends have been to the surgeon who I will be booking with and had fantastic results and aftercare and have been kept in the loop all the time pre op, and post op. They have told me that if anything goes wrong with the surgery, i will be covered for a re-op and wont have to pay for implants to be replaced in regards to capsular contracture (etc) which im happy with. I’ve already had one consultation with surgeon in question and felt very comfortable and spent over 30 minutes asking questions and being reassured.

What i hope to achieve from this post? I hope MYA seriously take this into consideration. Surgery, especially Breast surgery, is becoming increasingly popular each year, and this surgery, at least to me, means the world of difference. I think this forum is a great idea as it really gives people a chance to express opinions which they cant with other surgery groups, but after spending almost a year on the forum whilst collecting money for my op, i dont feel i will be in safe hands in the years to come after the surgery, and i definately wouldnt pay the amount they ask for the aftercare service it seems they provide.

I understand there may be a strain on those working for MYA (especially pc’s and nurses) to cope with the sheer amount of people who have their surgery with MYA, but there really does need to be change, not just for us women choosing surgery, but for the reputation of MYA itself. I was always taught the best advertisement is the power of “word of mouth” and recommendations. Take care of your current patients and in turn, they will bring you new potential clients! And that negative comments make a far more lasting impression than the positives, which i guess in my case has been true.

The positive to this is i now have an appointment next Friday morning with my surgeon with the Hospital Group and will be paying a deposit to secure a surgery date in July/August. I’ve waited many years for this surgery and i just hope after writing this post that it turns out to be the dream im wishing it will be, though trust me when i say if i experience any negatives i’ll be sure to let you girls know all the nitty gritty gossip! haha :) I will still be using MYA this year to get Derma Fillers in my lips and cheeks as i have no concerns about needing aftercare for such a small procedure, but i have lost faith in my major surgery which was my BA.

Please MYA MOD, you are super human after all and i know you always try your best to resolve issue’s on this forum. Im not asking for anything but please try to get this message through to those that can make a difference. You have great Surgeons, and my experience of my consultation was a positive one with a very polite lady in a warm atmosphere, but the issues about the aftercare need adressing as this has had a huge impact on my decision.

I hope all the girls whether pre-op or post-op have had a pleasant experience with MYA, from all i’ve spoken to the results are fantastic and you should be so proud of how you look, your all stunning! I hope later this year i will be uploading my pre op and post op pics for you all to return the kindness i’ve seen on this forum and all the advice and positivity i’ve been shown.

Take care ladies and i hope to speak with you all soon

p.s – im so excited right now, i’ll be in the 2012 class of the boobie club <3!
