Hi ladies
I have been researching getting a BA and I am completely confused as to where to pick to have my consultation etc. I can’t find the difference between companies offering cosmetic surgery. I have found this forum really helpful and I just wondered what made you all choose MYA?
any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you x
Hi Lauren
I chose MYA as i had a consultation with the hospital group and it wasn’t very informative, i didn’t get any options on implants as i said i might like to go to a C and that was all i was given to try. Then thank goodness i found this site as i now realise that they wouldn’t have been big enough. I didn’t know anything about all the cc sizes and different options you could have. I have been for my first consultation with mya and it was soo much better, they showed me a few sizes and the different profiles. I came away feeling alot better about it. So i can’t wait to meet my surgeon in a couple of weeks. Also i only seem to hear good things about MYA, when i look into other companies i always find bad reviews as well! Hope that helps and good luck xx
Hi fiona
Thank you that really helps because at the minute I am just looking at websites that all say the same thing. This forum is great. So is the first consultation with a nurse? Do they go through costs etc. or do you wait until after the consultation with the surgeon? I am a very insignificant 34a at the minute and would like to go to a D cup if possible….what size are you going to?
xx
I know this forum is a god send
) I’m on it all the time lol! First consultation is with your patient co-ordinator and they go through the risks and any questions you have. She also showed me the different implant types and sizes and went through the cost, if you go on breastenlargementdiscounts.co.uk you can print off the voucher and get
Wow cool …..did you bring this with you on the day of your consultation with the PC? I just booked my consultation for wed 3rd March I am so excited! Where are you getting your procedure done? xx It all confuses me the unders/overs…cc’s…high/low profile etc. I hoping the consultation will help with that lol x
hi hun i went for a consultation at transform befre i went with mya they have 5 year aftercare where as transform and others only have 3 year as well as mya being cheaper i really liked the ppl and how helpful they were, as for my surgeon i couldnt recommend hm enough had mr singh he chose everything for me including size and profile and sooo happy

Thanks Karley I have booked my consultation with MYA in Liverpool…..I am very excited and kinda relieved actually that I have made at least some of the decision lol Where did you have your surgery? what size did you go to and from? xx
i had mine at highgate in london v nice
i was 32a small 32b and had 300cc overs, got measured on saturday as 34dd
v pleased what size are you looking to goto? xx
I am a small 34a would love to be a 34d ……I am thinking I will have to go for unders because I don’t have alot of breast tissue. xx
where abouts in the country are you lauren15? I chose MYA because the people were all friendly and helpful. You can have several consultations with the surgeons if you need to and they don’t rush you into anything. You never see any bad comments about MYA on the forums. I saw other companies and considered going to a surgeon direct, but MYA seemed to offer a little bit more in terms of aftercare.
It is exciting when you start booking consultations! Makes it all more real. I know i wasn’t totally sure about all that stuff, but they explained it all to me. I will have to have unders i think as i don’t have much tissue either, apparently they are more natural looking as well. I’m going to bring the voucher when i next go, or she said i could e-mail it to her. Going to be having it done at Highgate! Can’t wait but i have to wait till June, seems like a life time away!! xx
Hi Cath
I am in liverpool, my first consultation is next week with a PC in liverpool. I am excited but nervous at the same time. I am 25 now and I have wanted to change my chest since I was in my early teens but I decided to wait until I was completely grown and I had exhausted all other avenues so its a relief almost that I can finally make that change.
xx
Will you have op in LIverpool then Lauren? You do right to get it done sooner than later. I am having BA in March at the tender age of 35 and wish I’d done it 15 years ago like I wanted to. Still, didn’t have the money and it wans’t very common then either.
Just go to a few places and see who you feel comfortable with. I thought MYA, but lots of people who go with other places are very happy, so it’s what suits you hon. If your surgeon listens to you and you trust them, I thhink that is the most important thing.
Goog luck and keep us posted! xxxxx
