has anyone had breast enlargement and been on the depo(conteception injection)do you have to come off it before the op ive bin told that people have had to stop taking the pill 2 weeks before just wondered x

had my BA in october last yr n am on the depo i told them i was n they dint say i had to stop taking it. x

Hi icemaiden, ive got my op in 3 weeks time, and im on the depo, been on it for 7 years coz its the best contraception ever lol, and i asked mya and they said its fine coz its ‘proeastrogen only’ (sorry about spelling). The reason why people have to come off the ‘Combined’ Pill 2 weeks before, i.e Microgynacon is because it containes two hormones, ‘oestrogen and proeastrogen’ and can contribute to deep vein thrombosis (clotting) apparently. So we are okay on the Depo. Hope this helps hun xx
