Deposit Before I've seen Surgeon?

Hi Girls,

Just thought I’d check – is it normal for MYA to call and ask if you’ll be paying your deposit on day of seeing surgeon? I have to see surgeon for first time tomorrow and I thought I would get chance to think about what he said but MYA have already called and asked if I will be paying deposit on the day.

I know this sounds stupid as I do have deposit sitting, I just feel that it was a bit pushy considering I have no idea what the surgeon is going to say. Is that standard?

hi pauline, i saw the surgeon first, then found out the dates and i phoned up the next day and put my deposit on. i would c the surgeon first as ur deposit is to secure a date xx

I have seen the surgeon and I was never asked for a deposit, still haven’t been asked and that was 2 weeks ago x

Thanks, was just a little put off by it. Found it a little strange that they checking if I could pay deposit before I had all the info.

I seen the surgeon, seen my pc straight after and she asked me then if I’d be happy to

pay a deposit there and then, which I was as the dates I wanted weren’t released yet , so with paying my deposit I got first pick xx

Don’t pay until you have seen the surgeon – you might not like him… x

I didnt pay until after I’d seen my surgeon and was sure I wanted to have my surgery with MYA xx
