Hi I was just wondering about the deposits … I’ve read that lots of people have paid their deposit when they book the surgeon consultation …… Is this the full deposit your wanting to pay for the ba or just a deposit for the consultation?

After my first consultation with my patient coordinator I paid £xxxx deposit to secure the surgery date I wanted 🙂 then I booked my surgeon consultation which I didn’t have to pay anything extra for.. And I paid the rest after I saw my surgeon! X

Is this what happens at your first consultation? You have to pay money to hold a date? I have a date in mind but haven’t sorted my money out for the procedure yet. My consultation is tomorrow…..doesn’t leave me long to find the cash!!! Any advice please, can you pay the deposit online to MYA?

If you want to book your surgery date before you meet the surgeon its £1000 and if you book it after you’ve met the surgeon its £5xxxx

So either way I won’t be able to hold my preferred date tomorrow. Makes sense I guess! Time to raid the penny jar then!!!!

My PC told me that the surgeon consultation is free, but you will be fined £x if you don’t show up/ cancel with pit notice which seems fair as it would waste the surgeons time ….. Deposit has to be paid before your pre op to secure the surgery date

Thanks for your advice. I’m so nervous (going for first consultation today) that I’m panicking about everything! Silly I know haven’t even started this properly yet!
