Dermal/piercing/period help please!

Ok so just found out my admission time for Thursday is 7am which is a bit annoying when I asked for a late one to give me time to travel 2.5 hours however now thinking about it lots of positives like no traffic and hopefully first in! However when I was on the phone was talking to the nurse and she said no piercings which I knew but at my pre-op the nurse said I could leave my dermal in the back of my neck and that I could also leave a piercing in in the middle of my ear which is a heart shape and tbh I haven’t a clue how to take it out. The nurse on the phone seemed really concerned about this and said she thought I would still need to take them out but I really don’t think I’ll be able to and I already went to my piercers on Saturday and got the rest with plastic jewellery and so I’m a bit pissed that she’s saying this now. Has anyone else had surgery with piercings still in? Also I am due to start my period any day now, sounds stupid but do I need to do anything/tell them? Really sorry for the essay girls xxxx

I had my surgery yesterday babe and I left 6 piercings in my ears just simply because I can’t get them out. I did take the other 9 out though haha. But they just taped them up. When I had surgery last year to remove my thyroid I kept the same piercings in and they just taped them so I can’t see why it would be a problem. Just explain you can’t get them out. Xxx

i was on my period when i had mine on thur hun just take sanitary pads as ya not aloud to have tampons in and tell them xx

Hey babe, I have 11am…how about acrylics (nails) do We really have to have them removed? Sorry can’t help with piercing advise x also was told the same as Sarah. Just make sure you wear a pad and not tampons x 3 sleeps!

I had to take all my piercings out, remove my acrylic nails (they need to see your nails to see there colour to ensure your body has the correct bloodflow) and remove my eyelash extentions .. was the most emotional thing but so worth it!! Xx

I’m not nervous yet but certain I will on the day. Yes defo chick!! Will be lovely apart from the fact you probably won’t recognise me because I’ll look so awful haha! I’m hating all this no tan no make up no hair no eyelashes… Argh I can’t wait to slap it all back on haha xx
