devastated:( all booked and now it cant even happen

does anyone know of any loan companies i just been let down by two i booked it all thinking they wer fine because they said they accepted but now there saying they havent so upset

I would forget loan companies hun, not worth the hassle and if you’ve been turned down you will likely get turned down again which can then negatively affect your credit score. See if you can borrow the money from friends or family, see if you can earn it, or you could explain the situation to MYA. I believe they do have their own discretion type fund x

thank you, its so upsetting as they said i was accepted but now they want someone else on the form because it was my boyfriend doing it for me. its just heart breaking as iv booked the surgery and hotel everything and now its all ruined x

Aww hun. They always say you are accepted in principle, but then they send the details off to their underwriters who credit check you, and only after that is the real decision made. They shouldn’t keep saying that people are accepted in principle, it’s misleading and just basically means they have received your forms. Hope you get it sorted hun x

Oh no, this happened to me too and now Im 10 days post op. I was advised on here to speak to Tom @ MYA’s finanace and he put me in touch with First Medical Loans. Alot of people say FML are bad to deal with but I found them to be really helpful and I had a decision within 1 week. I had to do a joint application with my boyfriend as my credit score is really bad. It was just for the last £1,000 but I believe if you can save a bit up yourself you have a better chance of being accepted if it’s not for the full amount. Try speaking to Tom. Good luck xxx

Sorry meant to say my boyfriend also applied for the ‘Barclays’ credit card and we put a £1,000 on that. The rest we saved up between us xx

Hey, I went throught First medical loans who said they would only accept me if I did a joint application… but since then I got a call off MYA saying they are using a new loans company now which seem a bit easier to get finance off. You can get a yes or no over the phone and I was accepted xxx

Anyone know what this new Loans company is called?

MYAs new finance company V12 are better than FML. You dont need a guarantor and they apr rates vare better. Its 0% if you can pay it back within 1 or 2 years. I got turned down by a few different people but i was accpeted by V12 in a matter of mins xxx

i applied to fml and was refused even as a joint applicant, i borrowed the money from my step dad and have been paying £100 a week back, this week ill have paid £1000, my bf doesnt know about the re payments though, he would go mad, but ill be all paid off by april xxx

thats nice of him jenwal, my boyfriend is doing this for me thank god, its coming out of his account, Marshmalo FML accepted me in the end they wanted me on the form as well, V12 can suck my toe lol they refused my mum straight away boo, tesco is meant to be really good as well xx

What about a Bank overdraft? My bank allows me 2k in each of my banks- 4k right away!

– Less/no interest sometimes if you’re a student? Just a thought!
