Did anyone drink alcohol before BA and uplift??

Hi all,

I have my BA and uplift booked for 11th October and on all the paperwork I was given it said not to drink 14 days before op but I just wondered if I could have a couple or do I need to be really strict?? Ive already stopped smoking and I would reaallllyyy love one right now!!

No you need to be strict hun. Alcohol can affect the way the GA works.. and you REALLY want to be out cold when they are operating on you! It can interfere with blood pressure too so best to stay away xx

I had a ba and uplift and was told no alcohol 48 hours prior to your op….xx

I would stick with what it says on your paperwork honey,xxx

I was told 48 hours, I went out the week before & had quite a bit to drink! Xxx

I did not drink for 36 hours before BA and got pisst once i finished the anti biotics x

my BA is 3 WEEKS TODAY!!! (WHOOP!) but having my last drink tonight with the hubster and a large indian takeaway. next friday, stop smoking! :o(

I went out the night before & had a few, i wasn’t drunk but i didn’t think a few would be any harm and it wasn’t x
