i know everyone is different but would love to know if anyone worried about how high up there boobs seem i realy want the natural look i know im only 6 days post op but feel i want to push them down into my breast feel like there up on my chest bone!!!
Hey Ritam – I presume you’ve had unders? Depending on your body’s natural healing rate, they’ll settle into the pockets made for them, at different rates to other people, or even themselves.
Currently I’m 9 days post-op and one is definitely higher than the other, but that’s because my left one has been healing like a dream and is softening much quicker – My right one is being a stubborn little so-and-so. Don’t worry, try to be patient and speak with your surgeon if this continues to bother you or doesn’t improve x
thanks silkshake no i had 415cc inspira overs, im the op to u right one is softening but left is playing up and the scare is painful i’ll add u so u can take a look the pic in the hospital gown kind of shows what im worried about its not as bad as that now but still would like it to drop lower i know its early days thanks again xxx
Don’t you worry honey I’m sure it’ll settle correctly. Did you have the responsive or the soft-touch? I bet they’ll be really natural feeling with the responsives
Just out of curiosity.. Are you right or left-handed? x
I’ve had a look and I think they look good so far
don’t forget it’s early days..

3. How long before my breast implants drop?
For most women, breast implants rest a bit high for a short period after surgery, and then they drop into a more normal position. This usually takes a few weeks. The time it takes your breast implants to drop depends upon several factors, including the implant size, what size you were before your breast augmentation surgery, the implant surface type, implant placement, your muscle tone and whether you massage your breasts. Smooth breast implants drop faster than textured implants. If your implants are placed underneath the chest muscle, they will drop slower than if they are placed over the muscle. If you had very small breasts before, and get moderate to large implants, they will take longer to drop because of the tightness of your skin. Sometimes, one side will drop before the other side.
Some surgeons advise patients to push their breast implants down or massage them soon after surgery to encourage them to drop. If you are having problems, your surgeon may have you wear a wide elastic band around the top of your chest to help push your implants down.
If your implants still haven’t dropped within six to nine months, breast augmentation revision surgery may be necessary. Talk to your surgeon.

Rita, are you seeing your nurse tomorrow for your 1 week post op appointment? You could ask then but I’m sure you’ll be fine and they’ll drop of their own accord. Let us know how you get on. x
thanks i will ask tomorrow and see what she says will let u know x
silkshake your brill this info has realy put my mind at rest thanks so much xxx
Rita I feel the same. At the moment mine are really high up, but I think it’s just because they’re swollen and haven’t settled into place yet. I wouldn’t worry
xx
Oh you’re welcome lovely – I know how uncertain and nerve-wracking it can be. Just remember that especially at first, your boobs will just look like a bigger version of what you had, until the implant settles properly beneath your breast tissue for the new shape. I remember thinking “Oh god.. They’re just huge versions of what I had before!” But the bottom part will fill out eventually as the implant drops.. And as the article says, textured implants do take longer than smooth… And guess what Mya uses?
