Im one week post op 340/300 with Mr T, had my post op appointment with the nurse today, and she took off my dressings, nearly fainted at the thought of it when she was trimming the disolveable atitches. She then put 2 little steri strips over the wound, and said i can take them off at the weekend.

But will i know when the stitches have disolved and its just a scar, i dont want to keep looking at it as it makes me all queasy. xxx

Hey hunny, when I took my steri strips off I just have a scar. There probably won’t be anything there when you take them off x x

Hope so, the nurse said to keep the steri strips on another few days and soak them off in the shower, so i will do that at the weekend and hope for the best xx

Farrah does the trimming hurt? This is one of the things im most worried about, thinking the pain wont be as bad if I dont touch them but this you cant get away from?? x

no it doesnt, i didnt feel a thing the nurse does it all with some tweezers and she said she would stop if it did hurt. My boobs are still a bit numb which helped. The worst part was taking the overall dressing off which was just like a huge plaster. x

Oh no, I’m getting my dressings off this evening. It’s not so much the plaster bit that I’m worried about, more the fact that there is alot of blood on my dressings and I don’t know how they’re going to get them off without a bit of a tug 😯 Especially around my nipples, oh god! Don’t get me wrong, I WANT to get them off, but I am a wimp when it comes to pain! Then it’ll be getting the staples pulled out…Can’t wait!

I will be worth it when there off though and you can admire your new boobs in full. Mine seem to have dropped since taking the dressings off or its just because i can see the full boob now.
