dissolvable stich thats not dissolved :-(

l was in the bath having a full on soak and my hubby came in and looked closely at my incisions and around my nipple at the bottom seems to be a stitch rearing his ugly head, l would say about 1/2 cm clear. No puss is coming out.

Has anybody had this at all?? im seeing my surgeon next Sunday so dont know if to wait til then.

l did call the hospital but they did not seem woried apart from seeing local gp nurse to get it removed which l am not happy about. u dont pay thousands to see a nhs nurse.

What are ur thoughts?? x

Hi Hun, I had this happen to me and I pulled it out with tweezers, however this was only about a week ago though! When I went for my 6 week check yesterday I had another in my vertical scar and the nurse got the tweezers out and pulled it out, it bled a tiny bit so she put a dressing on in and said to take it off this morning and it would have dried out and would be fine! She said this is normal and they need to come out in case they start to irritate the skin! Just took it off now and it’s ok xx

heya xxx i had disolvable stitches when i had a c-section but the two on either end had to be pulled out so im guessing this is normal hun xx wudnt worry xxxx

Thanks girls x l looked on google and somebody said cut the end of, so my hubby did that for me obviosly with sterile scissors xx

Jo did u loose feeling in your nipples and down the vertical scar? l still have no feeling yet? l know its normal just wondering when it may come bac x

Hi vicky, yes I’m still numb now Hun all over most of my boobs apart from the sides and the tops! My nipples go erect when my bf touches them but I can’t feel anything xx

At least l know hun l am the same, around the incision areas l am numbe which is good l guess. xx

this is what ive got a little stitch on the end, its only one side though and about 2 mm long i think

what do i do?? i darent pull it out
