do i need to wear a bra?

I’m ten weeks PO, and have had no bra on since friday, i know i should still really be wearing a sports bra at night, but its so comfy without one. I weat my sports bra for work and a wonderbra for out, as soon as i get in, or finish work i take it off !what are the exact rules xxx

I don’t think there are any set rules hun…I wear my sports bra all nite still and I’m 17 weeks..I just like to think they’re being “held” lol x

Its all about support during the healing process and the support helps to form the natural shape. The implants form their own happy medium and location. It also depends on the size and location of the implant. Larger implants require support for a longer period. Some surgeons say larger implants should be supported for life to aid how long the last before they head south. Everyone is different, so I would not worry to much. 10 weeks is a good long healing process.

My surgeon doesn’t even say to bother with a bra for after surgery! I’m 4 days post-op and hav only worn a sports bra once(yest when I went out to watch fireworks). I did like the support feeling but didn’t like the feeling on my scars. Obviously when I’m more up and abt I will wear it more often but don’t think ill wear it at night. If I had gone for massive implants tho I would prob feel they needed more support. What size did u hav done? I think it should b ok to let them ‘breath’ every now and then

Hi Jo,

Hubby got the top, he got me a couple to make me feel better.

I am OK thanks, very sleepy, have had a few moments where I feel a bit sicky, but in general I cant moan. Its onlt been 48 hours.

I’m still feeling tired and sicky but it has improved a bit. I went out to watch fireworks with the fam last night but had to sit down most of the night. Can’t wait til antibiotics r done as I’m sure they make sickness worse . Glad ur not feeling too bad x

hey hun, im having mr adamo as well havent had my op yet but he told me bra isnt necessary but up to you, only thing doesnt recommend is underwired bras, he said underwired will be ok providing only for short time like an evening out after 4/6 wks. i know all surgeons give different advice xx
