Do I really need to take vitamins or arnica that everyone mentions?

I’m trying to get all my things together now…2 weeks today! And i’m not sure if i need to get bio oil etc, which are the best one’s to get & if i need any tablets like arnica/vitamins etc…can anyone advise please xxx

Dont take any vitamins hun your not aloud too 2 weeks b4 and after your opp, also I wouldnt take arnica as it thins the blood, some surgeons are dead against it, but others recommend it, so it’s ask your surgeon and see what they say xx

i told them at my pre op consult what vitamins i take and they said carry on taking them, (zinc, vitamin c and vitamin d) it depends on the surgeon tho like nikki said! x

omg ayshababy i take the same as you plus more and was told by the nurse not to take them, they normally say no too all vitamins, but arnica is usually the one some surgeons disagree over wether to take or not xx

For my BA my surgeon suggested Arnica and to continue with vitamin C.

For my Rhinoplasty my surgeon did not recommend Arnica.I think it depends on the surgeon honey,always follow their instructions.xxx

My nurse didn’t mention anything which is why i’ve been so confused at seeing everyones posts about them lol I’m 2 weeks today so i won’t take anything! lol what about bio oil etc? xxx

massage you boobs with bio oil or any moisturiser from 2 weeks pre opp hun your boobs may get dry from the skin stretching, u can apply it afterward just avoid the incision area xx

What is arnica ? I take vit A B C I’m using palmer stretch Mark cream pre-op n plan to use that post-op during day n bio oil during night as it’s greesey x

I was told 2 stop everything I take same as you aysha…odd must be down to nurse spose x

Im really worried now I’ve been taking 2 Arnica capsules by mouth 4 times a day since the day of my op, the nurse knew I was taking them anddidnt sayanything. Should I stop? I also started taking Vitamin A today Im day 3 post op x
