Does anyone know what would happen to your boobs if you didn’t wear the Macom bra because i find it alot easier not wearing it, im not sure whether the bra actually helps to shape your boobs or something?? xxxx
I didnt I bought ASDA ones and put a safety pin in the middle to pull my boobs closer together, in all it came to about £20 for like 4 of them, I got a few different sizes too which was good because the one I had on JUST after surgery was KILLING me by the day after my surgery and I had to take it off and put a bra with a bigger band size on but then as time went on I could wear the smaller bandsizes again
its really up to you hun, like 50% of girls say they couldnt have LIVED without theirs, the other 50% say they didnt like it because the bandsize was too sore for their scars or just didnt like it full-stop and ended up having to buy asda or tesco ones anyway……
Ah rite, the bra that i have to wear rele hurts me, but if i dont have one on i feel more mobile in it, are the bras there to shape your boobs or isit purely just to make you feel comfortable? x
I think if you had an uplift then theyre probably better but if u just had implants any random asda or tesco sports bra will do, plus you can try them on first if youve already had your op…..
Lol i could live without the macom bra but i dont want my boobs to start going a weird shape if i dont wear it? x
nah they wont go weird if u just had implants, I never had one and my boobs look nice lol
Iv heard the tesco sports bras are better than the asda ones so mayb take a wee trip there? lol xxx
Lool yeh i might have to go to asdas! x
Was literally just talking to my partner about this this mornin’. I didn’t know if the Macom one was better because it fastened up the front?
Got a few weeks yet so going to check asda AND tesco lol. I might even give Sainsbury’s a bash
xx
I’m 4 days post-op and haven’t worn a bra yet. Mr Adamo said I don’t need one but if I want one for my own piece of mind he said that’s fine too. I’ve ordered a Macom bra coz when I go out in the car I can feel em jiggling a little bit so I have to hold em to keep em still! lol. Its more for my own piece of mind plus when I’m back to work I dont want my nipples showing through my top no matter how fab my boobs look!
Hey i am with transform and they advise not to wear the macoms. They say they are too tight and uncomfy for after surgery lol and are quite expensive. They recommend the m&s 2 pack sports bras for £16 so thats what i have. Not got my boobies just yet tho
roll on 26h
:D!!xx
I wear my Macom to sleep in – i had an uplift so i feel more supported in it but through the day i wear the asda ones xx
yea I’m pretty sure MYA have a deal/partnership with Macom and thats why they push for it…
would make sense bexepie.. hmmm not sure I’ll bother now! x
i didnt bother with one and had NO complications whatsoever so it all depends how much money you have to burn I think lol. I wouldnt have been able to afford it anyways
nah I wouldn’t either.. my student loan can be spent on more important things haha. just don’t know where to start looking for a decent bra though x
lol i used my student loan to fund my surgery lolz dunno if thats frowned upon or what
same!! so no frowning from me lol x
I’m only 72 hours out of surgery and just wearing my strapping….the thought of having any bra’ on petrifies me
I’ll try when I have the strapping taken off…….Lol xx
did they say when you should start wearing a bra jen? cos i have no idea
doubt you’d fit in a macom though hahaha x
and i might have to have my creases lowered too.. so not sure a macom would be too comfortable being really tight! x
I had creases lowered and omfg I can feel it…….the though of anything rubbing on the incisions makes me want to gag!!!! Your right tho…….I don’t think maccom are doing a jenniferj size mwahaha xx I’ll start wearing sports bra’s when the strapping comes off and I can walk straight!!
yeah I saw on your post, eek I’m terrible with pain haha I suppose it will be worth it though! aww hope you heal quickly hun
xx
It’s not the best BUT my boobs look great so well worth it
I only had op Friday morning so have to expect some pain still…..I’m giving my self a week of rest and relaxation
…..then I’m taking these bad boys out for a partaaaaaaay!! Haha xx
haha yeah they do
happy healing babe and good luck finding a bra! xx
To be fair, at 1st i thought macom was uncomfortable. but now i like to wear it sometimes as with my asda and tesco ones. But when i take my macom off my boobs look amazing in shape, so it makes me wonder.!! xxx
I’m finding it hard to find cheaper sports bras in anything over a D cup. Has anyone bought an E cup (reasonably priced!) sports bra? xx
I got Es in asda
Lol I love my macom bra, bought others but non are so comfy, its so worth the money and great when u want to have a quick look at ur boobs seen as tho it opens at the front. Defo recommend having a macom. Also every time I been to asda its impossible to get a DD one. Also measured t 30dd last week so no chance of getting a 30dd anywhere
x
From what people have written on here,Mr Traynor used to advise no bra post-op for 6wks but when I went for my pre-op,my nurse told me that he now recommends the Asda post-op and sports bras vs macoms as they don’t rub on ur wounds.Asda do sizes up to G cup for their post-op bras, not sure about the sports bras xx
