Does anyone have the emergency nurse number please? think i have an infection..

ive just got back home from being out and inside my bra there was yellowy gunk inside my bra, my hubby has just looked at my incisions and the bottom very large stitch at the bottom of one breast (on the vertical uplift cuts) is gaping and looks infected and also it looks a bit infected at the bottom of the nipple, nothing really major but enough to need some advice so i can sort it out immediastely xx

Have you got a sterile dressing to put over the wound,ill message mario and see if he has a number and ask him what you should do,are you in pain hun,xx

i havent got any dressings no and not sure where would be open on a sunday, thats so kind of you tina, thanks. I’m not in pain no xxx

thanks Tina, the nurse said that with the mastopexy gaping is quite common and that i should have a good wash, put some kind of dressing on, i’ll use some tissue if need be and to go to clinic tomorrow for a swab in case i need antibiotics xx

Tina that’s really kind thanks, theyve been doing so well, i wonder whether its because its been so hot, they were feeling boiling yesterday and maybe thats caused bacteria to build up, whatever the reason at least i know it’s not major and they can give me antibiotics tomorrow if need be xx

awwww thank god she got back to you,if you have a sterile bandage in a first aid kit hun you could cut it up,and use as a dressing tissue might stick and be difficult if it dries on the wound,xxx

im unfortunately not that organised to have a first aid kit! i’ve got clean tissue in there at the mo and ive cleaned the incisions with antibacterial wipes very gently so i think i’ll be ok until tomorrow, i’m staying inside in the cool now as well to prevent them heating up xx
