does the clothes to go to have your ba in have to be button at front and your pjs and also is it recomended for a short while after surgery to wear tops with button fronts as is it difficult top lift up your arms? x
Heyy hun, I had my pre-op yesterday and the nurse told me that you need a top that buttons or zips up at the front because you won’t be able to put anything over your head xx
thanks.is this to take with u? or for a while after surgery until u can lift up your arms?sorry for the silly questions haha xx
yes u need zip or buttons with you and after, if u lift your arms up you will pull the stitches, and not sure u can lift arms i didnt try.. hope this helps? x
Hiya, I couldn’t find anything I liked so I took some oversized vests I already had and managed fine with those. I just stepped into them and my boyfriend manouvered my arms through the holes! Basically anything that allows you to put it on without really having to move your arms much. I had hoodies that zipped up to travel home in which were fine. Anything baggy that won’t hug them too much will do you x
yess it does thank u xx
oh yea good idea lol thanks xx
Yeah Hun anything buttoned up or zipped is defo needed! I got cheap pjs from primark that buttoned up and some hooded zip up tops, I also took leggings as there easy to get on, you will need them for after surgery and a couple of weeks after xx sam xx
ok i will remember that have to get some then lol thanks x
I took a vest top and stepped into it. I lived in vest tops and hoodies for the first few weeks x
as my vest tops are quite tight i thought maybe they will cling to my new boobs too much or it will look too small this may sound silly but do u have to get a tops thats a size bigger than wat i are if bigger boobs makes your top look shorter?haha bit silly i no bt jst popped into my head x
My vest tops were stretchy so I didn’t have a problem. And all my clothes still fit, just better x
aww yea i suppose will just fill them out more haha thanks x
I would get loose fitting tops a couple of sizes bigger than you are just for swelling and comfort I couldn’t of worn anything fitted over mine as I was so sore and stiff afterwards you maybe ok just raid the bargain rails Hun xx sam xx
thank u x
babby vests – ladies u are geniuses!!!! ive been going crazy trying to find button up tops and have loads of babby vests!
mwah xxxxx
How long before you can lift your arms to wear vests/tshirts (anything not button up!)? A few days? A week?
believe me i was lifting my arms up the same day.. because i needed to close the window as my nipples were gonna drop off it was that cold during the night and the nurses didnt hurry their bums up…
not that im recommending it but i had my op on tues and feel as though i could go back to work today!
.. im wearing normal tops already.. but again i wouldnt recommend it
i think i need stop moving my arms. but im in no pain at all and no pain killers –
its just so you dont tear your stitches xxx
I’m having an uplift too, so it might be longer if you have that as there’s more incisions…
