does your guarantor have to have good credit?

i know i wont be able to get finance without a guarantor but was jus wondering if theres a chance i still wont get it even with a guarantor?

I’m not sure if they need particuarly good credit but they need to be in full time employment earning over a certain amount and own thier own property. I got a loan with first medical with my mum as gaurantor xx

I don’t think so…. to be your gaurantor they need something to garantee they can pay back the loan if you can’t. I’m pretty sure they need to be a home owner, maybe i’m wrong though xx
