I just wondered if anyone would say not to have a BA. I have my first consultation today and have wanted this for ages but now its so close I’m thinking do I really want it?! I don’t hate my boobs, just feel a bit insecure about them but I’m worried that I’ll have the surgery and wish that I hadn’t! Has anyone else felt like this?

Thank you for your help :-)

Oh, and has anyone gone with “the hospital group”…they have £700 off at the moment! x

Nat,u have to be really sure that it’s the right decision for u.It’s alot to put ur body thru at the end of the day and if ur not 100% sure, take some time out to think it thru again.I had my op on Thursday and I’ve wanted this for 4-5 years now.I had fleeting doubts the day before but only for a second and it was the thought of the anaesthetic that put me off. There’s also other people’s reactions to consider, some of it negative so think about how that’s gonna affect you too.

I had a consultation with the hospital group but didn’t feel comfortable with them, thought they were quite impersonal.Hope this helps! xx

Thank you :-) Yeh I know what you mean about other people…of the people who I’ve told they’ve all told me not to do it and I havent even told my mom yet cause she’s very against it. So it’s been hard to think what do I want when I’ve got everyone else’s opinion to think about! Thank you though hun x

In agreement with sassivet there. I felt the consultation was very impersonal and they were talking to me because they HAD to.

Even though MYA is more expensive, I am happy to pay that little bit extra for the comfort and great service.

Don’t just go for one consultation. Go for LOADS. See who you like, who’s offering what. Then evaluate. Sit down with all your info and then decide. If you can’t decide then take more time. It’s not something that can be taken lightly or un-done easily.

It’s taken me years to finally pluck up the courage and the funds for this/

My Dad offered me £2000 yesterday if I didn’t go through with the op (it’s on 10th May) and I refused. This experience and process means more to me than money, than others opinions, than anything in the world.

Having a BA seems like the right thing to do. My gut is telling me it’s the next step.

I hope you find your answer one day Nat. There is no rush, you have as much time as you want to decide.

Nat, if you do decide to do it tell MYA how much hospital group are doing it for and see if they’ll match it. They did that for me when I told them how much Transform were quoting. X

Thank you! Gosh, your dad really doesn’t want you to do it! Good on you though for sticking to your guns if it’s something you really want x

Thanks Lisam…I might try that!! Haggle a bit! x

Also Nat, you’ll probably find that your consultation today will be the decider. And I could place money on you deciding to go for it! I’m 36 and can only say that I regret not having done it years ago when I first wanted to. X

Me too,I’m 37 and should have done it years ago.But I don’t think I would have gone as big as I have now if I’d had my op sooner. The deciding factor for me is that my body is changing as I get older and I was feeling all out of proportion-back to a fab hourglass again now tho! :D xx

Heeelllooooo. Its the best thing i have ever done. Dont mean to sound blunt but the surgeon is the one u should be researching. Yes the hospital group are very cheap but that would make me ask whyyyy???!!they have bad reviews in sofem. In my little opinion u should have a few consults and see who feels best for u. I know its nice to get things cheaper etc but a the end of the day this is a permanent change to ur body hun. Xx

I honestly can’t fault MYA Nat.Right from the very first time the receptionist phoned me back after my enquiry I felt really relaxed with them.Even little things like having music on quite loud in our Newcastle office just takes the tension out of things and they either train their staff really well or hand pick them to be lovely people anyway! At THG clinic in Newcastle,I was scared to move in the waiting room and the reception staff were really distant and unfriendly, nobody smiled etc (don’t know if that had anything to do with me being the last appt on a busy Sunday tho?!). The introductory talk was really stiff and pre-meditated and can’t believe the pc actually used a flip chart!! Plus it was all about money.

I’d say try MYA and Transform too hon, plus any others u’ve heard good things about then make ur decision based on how u feel afterwards.U might even decide that ur happy with what u’ve got and chicken fillets to help u out but only u can decide xx
